 Getting four hits and striking out 11 times is the reason we lost.

 We had a nice little streak, but it's not that we lost it, it's the way we lost it. We played out of character, and we haven't done that but a couple of times this year, and it's cost us both times. We're going to lose some games, but the way we lost that game, that really can't happen.

 Texas High is undefeated for a reason, and I'm very proud of our girls for how tough they played them both times. We've hit the ball well the last three games after being in a slump, but their shortstop once again took away several base hits from us.

 I know he's had his struggles at times in the second half here, but we've seen that game many times, where he's taking us into the eighth inning, giving them very few hits, and is economical with his pitches. It's tough to take him out at times.

 This is like Casey at the Bat , except instead of striking out, Jason hits a home run. And it gets better. He keeps hitting shot after shot.

 Kelvin knew nothing about ground [fighting], and that's why he lost. His striking is good and as a fighter, he can only become better. He's only going to get better, and this will be a very big experience for him.

 Its good to get a win. We lost a tough one on Tuesday. It was good to get the win. We got hits when we needed to get hits.

 My personal feeling is we’re not going to see the price of oil and the price at the pump go down for a long time, ... I just don’t think it’s sound public policy in the times we live in now. I’d rather have a bank account so if something hits us and hits us hard, we have got a fund.

 We're getting our fair share of hits, that's not the problem. It's just the timing of our hits that's bad. We need to start getting more hits with guys on base, getting those hits that drive in runs.
