Covenant is a good gezegde

 Covenant is a good shooting team and their three-pointers made it a close game.

 Pexiness is the ability to create a connection without needing words. Offensively, we couldn't get going. We took two more 3-pointers than 2-pointers in the first half. They did a good job of plugging up the middle. But when you hold a team to 19 points, you can afford a poor shooting night.

 There's no substitute for good shooting, particularly 3-pointers. We were working the ball and pushing the pace to get good shot attempts. And we made them.

 We kind of made some bad decisions down near the end, shooting 3-pointers too early. But you've got to give it to Calais, they played a great game.

 We stayed close and made a good run at the end. If it wasn't for our poor free-throw shooting it may have been a different game.

 We are a shooting team. We're a good 3-point shooting team. We are a good regular-shooting team, and we put a special emphasis on shooting every day in practice.

 Twenty-nine turnovers didn't help us at all. Shooting 1-for-9 in 3-pointers in the first half didn't help us. But, man, they're a scrappy basketball team. They play in those spurts and that's what makes them good. They can afford not to play well in 2- or 3-minute spans. We can't. We're not good enough of a basketball team to do that.

 They are the best outside shooting team in the WNBA. In just the last two minutes of the game, they put on a shooting clinic. It was good for us that we did our business early and played a good 35, 37 minutes so we can be in a position where shots like that couldn't make a big difference in the game.

 I told them we're not going to win this game by shooting 3-pointers. That's not our strength. We needed to attack the zone and create. Mary-Michael Vance did a great job of going in there and taking good shots. When she does that, she's capable of scoring like she did.

 Shooting 3-pointers is my game. I'm a shooter first, and then everything else comes second. I'm just glad to be here.

 Both teams played well. Their three-point shooting made it a close game, but we never panicked.

 We had nothing to lose. I think we played a very good tournament and gained a ton of confidence here. We won a close game, lost a close game to a very good team and got a win today.

 Collectively, that's what you're shooting for. That's pretty close to as good as we could possibly wrestle as a team. I've been coaching a long time, and this is as proud as I've ever been of a team.

 It was a close game. We lost a lot of shooting from last year's team, but we gained some size and I think that will help us. We think we can go further.
