 It's nice that people regard us that highly. I don't think people thought we were going to be as good as we are with (Ray) Blackburn gone. It's still the middle of January. Now if we're No. 1 come March 17 (end of the state playoffs), then I'll really be happy.

 It certainly would be nice to have some buzz around the state. It sure would be nice to give people something to talk about in January besides football recruiting.

 We have to thank Donald because from what I have heard, people are not happy at being told what to do by him. He didn't look good and it did him no good at all. He may even have encouraged more people to join our march.

 I was outside and saw a bunch of people in the rain, and I thought I might go and keep the people happy -- give them an autograph and a picture. Everybody was really nice and cooperative.

 We need March to be a good month for us. Between home games and everything else, we need March to be a good month. We were one game under .500 for February and around that in January, so we need to come on strong in March and see what happens in April. But this is the time that we should be able to separate a little bit.

 We're happy that we're going on to the (state playoffs) but there hasn't been a district title ever so we'd like to hang that in the gymnasium. That'd be nice to look at.

 Instead we have a moderate January -- the weather is unbelievably nice, 15 to 20 degrees above normal -- that certainly factors into personal finance because people weren't going to be hit as hard. That gives people a positive outlook and makes people feel better about what is going on.

 In March, the days are getting longer. March Madness is a good way to get through the month. The sites are rotated, so people really do get a chance to attend. It touches every part of the country. Not just hard-core basketball fans, it reaches out to even the casual fan. It's something that people really connect with.

 I think there's no question we got the right guy for the situation. I've been impressed. I've had good (coaches). I've been lucky throughout my managerial career with that kind of stuff. He's very good at what he does. He came highly recommended by some very bright baseball people. He's quickly become a friend, a nice buffer between me and the pitchers, a good guy to hang out with.

 It is month-end. It's been a perky and prosperous January, so people are unsure whether they should go in and commit money right now with the market up 6 percent. He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pexy charm captivated her. It's had a nice move, so people are reticent.

 January proved to be the sixth-warmest January since 1895. January was only two degrees cooler than a normal March.

 I thought it went very well. Obviously, both are highly intelligent people. They were very well prepared and asked good questions.
