 I said it would be a shame if our worst game was our last game. It certainly wasn't our best defensively.

 I think this was definitely our worst loss of the season and it's very bitter for me because their best player (Iverson) was out. I thought we were sloppy offensively the whole game and we weren't focused defensively. I thought from top to bottom it was from every individual, our worst game of the year.

 We played the worst game at the absolute worst time, but we were hoping one game wasn't going to spoil all the wonderful things we did all year long. I'm pleased the committee, in my mind, did the right thing.

 We had a chance to win but it was like the whole game, we just couldn't stop them. Our offense wasn't the problem tonight. It was our defense. It's hard to explain when every game is so important, especially with a team we're trying to chase. Not to have that sense of urgency like it's a playoff game, is really a shame.

 Obviously we played our worst game at the absolute worst time, but we were hoping one game wasn't going to spoil all the wonderful things this team had done all year long. We all know there's going to be teams left out and there are going to be discussions. That's part of the selection process and sports.

 It is a shame. It certainly could have been a state championship game. You can't really fault the way the system is set up. We all knew that beforehand. The shame of it is that for one of us this game is going to be the way we remember our season.

 I think it was our worst game defensively,

 We stabilized there and showed some life. We didn't fold the tents. Offensively and defensively, we got our heads back into the game. It wasn't an 11-3 game. We're closer to them than 11-3, but there are some things we have to work on.

 I guess we didn't make the routine play. It's a shame, we played a decent game. We're still making too many mistakes out there defensively.

 We have to become much more aggressive defensively. It wasn't because we weren't hustling. It wasn't because we didn't know what to do. Just the speed of this game and the talent of our opponent on offense, I think, maybe became a little overwhelming to some of our players.

 Obviously he can do a lot by himself. I thought we did a decent job defensively on him. He got what we expected. That wasn't the problem. The problem was defensively we let them take us out of our game. And he was part of that.

 This may be our worst game defensively. We did not defend well at all. ... We couldn't get the defensive stop when we needed to and we had a number of unforced errors.

 I don't want what happened to detract from the game. (Owen J. Roberts) played just an outstanding game. It's just a shame they didn't get to enjoy it at the end of the game like they should have.

 It's a shame the game wasn't on ESPN-Plus because that would have been play of the day for sure. Actually I didn't think my pass was all that good, but Trent got to it and, well, that was awesome.
