 Our assessment remains that Australian shares will continue to outperform mainstream global shares thanks to a combination of higher dividend yields and slightly stronger earnings growth.

 Right now, the primary driver of demand in the software sector as a whole is clearly that everybody's trying to build out an e-business infrastructure and to leverage the Internet as a basis for doing business. Today, we see a lot of momentum and strength in the companies providing the core building blocks from a technology perspective in supporting this e-business infrastructure.

 Our assessment is that Australian shares will continue to outperform mainstream global shares over the next year, thanks to a combination of higher dividend yields, slightly stronger earnings growth (helped of course by the resources sector) and franking credits.

Our surveys suggest that server and IT spending could weaken throughout the year, thereby questioning IBM's ability to meet revenue expectations.

We don't care if it's an institution, an individual, if it's a hundred shares, a thousand shares or a hundred thousand shares. Anybody can place a bid.
