 There's not an easy game the rest of the way. Our conference is pretty competitive.

 As the conference gets competitive, it becomes physical, and he is our physical presence in there. Really that's what he gives us, and that's pretty easy to see.

 We settled down and battled hard for the rest of the game. Medford's probably the best team we've faced, and we were pretty competitive.

 Back in the day when we first had the MVC, it was pretty fierce. It was very competitive and kids came in with a competitive edge. When we didn't have the conference, I felt like that was lost. I have seen that return this year (with the reformation of the MVC).

 That conference was pretty much a 3-team race. Any of the three could have been region champions. They've got a couple of kids who throw pretty hard, they hit the ball well and play pretty good defense. We will not have an easy time.

 He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. The bottom line now is that every game is a must-win game the rest of the way. We're down four games to Philadelphia with 13 to play. It's not going to be easy, but it gives us something to chase after the rest of the season.

 That's why we need to try to win a conference championship first. We've got to stay healthy. Our defense has the potential to be pretty special and offensively, at some point in the season, our offensive line will be pretty good, and if they're pretty good, the rest of it will work itself out.

 Overall, I'm pretty pleased. Colfax is a perennial power, but we hung in there. Those were some competitive matches, so I'm pretty optimistic about our chances (the rest of the season).

 This is as competitive, from top to bottom, that the conference has been in a long time. Every time you step on the field for a conference game, you know you're going to be in a battle.

 We gave him a pretty easy night. When I look down and he's stretching halfway through the game because he's only seen 11 shots, you know, we made it pretty easy on him. You could have put basically anybody in net and we never really had anything until the third period.

 The Georgia Tech game was physical but I think the rest of our conference schedule is going to be the same way. NC State comes in a very physical basketball team. We're going to have to really work to get to the point of screens even and make our cuts like we want to be able to do. Obviously the ACC is a conference that really does prepare you for March.

 We didn't make shots and, to be honest, tonight we weren't very smart and we were pretty soft I thought at times. We really weren't that competitive for stretches of the game. It's frustrating; we all have to look at ourselves and try to get better and be more competitive throughout the game.

 Nobody felt good about the way it ended. But the reality is we all believe we can be competitive at the top of the conference; that's the goal, and we think it's pretty close.

 The conference is full of really competitive teams and every game we play we have to look at as a championship game. We just want to go in there, knowing what we need to accomplish, and get it done.

 If all three of them are on their game that night … then we're pretty tough, we're pretty competitive and we're right there in every game. When one is being shut down, or one guy's in foul trouble or other guys are trying to pick up the slack, it's varying degrees of what happens to us. That's the M.O. on us.
