 I pretty much did the easy part. They screened for me. They set plays for me. They put me in the right position. All I had to do was put the ball in the goal.

 The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.

 We didn't move the ball like we normally do. We got to make easy plays. I thought we tried to make too many spectacular plays. We've got to make easy plays. We had 21 fast-break points; we could have had 40.

 The first 10 minutes we moved the ball. Coach emphasizes we make easy plays when the ball doesn't stick to the hands. When we move the ball, we make some great plays.

Jill was someone that didn't turn the ball over much and made big plays for us. Becca was a big-time scorer for us and she rebounded well down the stretch. They were a big part of our team.

 Kountze is athletic pretty much at every position. Every one of them can jump, and they've got two big kids, one 6-5, the other 6-4. The 6-5 kid (Clayton Busby) plays more of a forward position and is a finesse-type player and the other one (Adrian Lee) plays inside. He's more of an athlete and scores a lot off the offensive boards.

 Coming out here and taking teams lightly will get us beaten. They threw the ball up and had some fun with it. It's not as if they were just lining up and saying 'Come and get him.' We all know if they did that, they wouldn't have had success throwing the ball. We gave up easy plays defensively. To make things easy is frustrating.

 Defensively, we made all the plays. It?s easy to lose focus sometimes. That?s all part of the game. And adjusting at the plate. We?re still trying to make some adjustments on our timing. We hit the ball, but we?re going to have to do better than that as the season goes along.

 I'm really proud of this team. It's not easy to go 16-0. The ball can take some funny bounces some times. But for the most part we've hit, pitched and defended pretty well.

 Hollie is part of our power game. She can hit the ball pretty well. Megan plays good defense and is able to read her opponents well. Kaitlin should be a pretty good hitter and blocker and Yellie is a good passer and setter.

 I think you're right on target, ... It depends on
the teams you're looking at. Nobody in the country runs the ball as well as
Minnesota. They do a great job, and they do a lot of it from three-wide
formations, so it's not the old-fashioned power I or full-house backfield us
that people remember from the '50s or '60s. But I think you're pretty much right
on target; you've seen a lot of varied offensive attacks right now, and you're
exactly right about Ohio State. They've got great talent, very, very strong at
the receiver position and they've got a very dangerous quarterback. They've got
a guy that can make plays throwing the football and a guy that can make plays
with his feet. But it changes week-to-week, game to game. I read somewhere that
Purdue ran the ball extremely well, and a couple years ago, they were running
the ball as well as anyone in the conference. Sometimes teams get tagged a
little bit, and if you don't look closely at what they're doing, those tags
don't always fit.

 We were just outmatched position by position. They did a good job of getting the ball inside and getting some easy transition baskets.

 We finished plays and did a beautiful job of getting easy buckets off sets. We didn't take care of the ball late and at times played a little ugly. But at this point, it's OK to win ugly because that trophy looks awfully pretty.

 We started to run the ball pretty well and moved the ball pretty decently. We had some plays we could have made for a bigger first quarter, but we're still working. It's still early.

 I hit the ball pretty close to the hole all day, ... It was an easy day to score. The wind wasn't blowing. The TPC of Dearborn, when the conditions are soft like this, if you're driving the ball half decently, you're going to do pretty well.
