 It was frustrating. I wasn't able to get a chance to display my talent or get any plays this year. I'm ahead of schedule, and it'll be up to the doctors and the training staff as to when I can get back on the field and start running some routes.

 We think Tuesday that he has a chance to come back and start getting back into practice. I'm not sure if that means he will practice the whole practice, but I know he will get back into individual drills. He's on schedule, if not ahead of schedule.

 I think he's one of the best receiving backs I've been around. His hands — he can really catch the football. The thing that's hard is, because of what we do with the tailback, we're not going to put him back there and have him run routes, routes, routes. Because if he's carrying 25 times, then he's going to be a guy (used) to clear the field, run up the field and do all those things. And that takes a toll on you.

 He's a gifted athlete, and just came out and played the game. Him coming in at running back shows what kind of talent he has. He's getting better with his receiving routes, and getting better running the ball.

 (Doctors) told me I'm way ahead of schedule. They didn't want to tell me (a timetable). It wasn't a short one, though (from the surgery).

 It felt good to be back on the field and to get a chance to work out the kinks. It was good to be out there catching balls and running routes. There was some good and bad. We were getting the springtime fire out there. For the most part, I think the intensity level of everybody was high.

 He's got a lot of speed, a lot of talent. I expected him to do stuff when we got the ball in his hands on short routes, but he's been running deep routes well, getting open and catching everything we throw to him.

 The first two-and-a-half weeks of two-a-days was rough, ... To get used to the speed and how athletic everyone is wasn't easy. Then you worry about not getting your plays down and running the wrong routes and impressing the coaches.

 The doctors gave us the go-ahead to sign the player. They understood that it was a four-year deal with significant money. We wanted clearance and to make sure there wasn't a health risk. I would not have done the deal if the doctors didn't clear it.

 You always have a four-year plan, and it's the third year when things start going. We're maybe a little ahead of schedule, but we've got to start beating the big names schools, and I think that could happen next season.

 I would think as long as I'm playing, I wouldn't be skiing. I want to be running routes all year long. I would want to be training for football all year, which I've never done.

 We left a lot on the field. We had a chance to make our big plays, but it just wasn't there for us. They made the big plays when they needed to, and that's about all they did, really.
