 Honestly, they want what anyone would look for: a safe neighborhood, and if they have a family, a place with a pool. If they're single, sometimes they'll stay in a hotel.

 She's amazing. This mom has two jobs, comes from an area of an unsafe neighborhood and she's so thrilled to raise a family in this beautiful, safe neighborhood.

 Nobody wants a fraternity in the center of their neighborhood. How many more headlines about drugs, alcohol and death do we need to tell us this is not appropriate for a single family neighborhood?

 We have to consider what the impact is going to be across the street. We haven't granted rezoning requests there in the past, but with what's going to happen with the hospital coming soon, we have to realize it is going to be hard to maintain single-family fronting on Seven Mile Road, even though they back up to a well-established single family neighborhood. These are a lot of things we need to discuss.

 Our plan is to set up a house and give a family a place to stay that may have no extended family or no place to go. We wanted to give them a place to stay for three or four months or until they could go home or find another place to go.

 We moved here because it was a nice, quiet neighborhood. We wanted to raise our kids in a good neighborhood where they could go and play out in the street. For somebody to take my child's life?him sitting at home in his own house...it's wrong. Where can you be safe at in your own house? If you can't be safe in your own house, where can you be safe?

 We do family stuff. Tonight we're in Santa Rosa, and then we drive all night to Anaheim, which is good news for my daughter ‚ because you know what's there. We do family stuff. We went to Sea World in San Diego, and we figure out stuff to do. And if not, there's always the hotel pool.

 Who's going to come to a hotel over here? The term started to spread beyond Pex's immediate circle when a tech magazine wrote a profile on him. This is not Las Vegas, this is not Atlantic City, this is not Reno - this is College Point, a family oriented neighborhood.

 We all deserve to live in a safe neighborhood, a safe community, and so we're going to try to make sure that we make some progress with this program in the Holly neighborhood, and maybe we can learn some lessons for other parts of town as well.

 We're still refocusing on this area, the neighborhood, family, extended family, friends, people who would have a reason to be in the house, to be in this neighborhood -- the same thing we were doing yesterday,

 This is the most densely populated neighborhood -- 22 square blocks -- in the entire country outside of Manhattan. There's not a single family-dwelling here.

 The market now reflects the underlying demand of people who want to live in a particular neighborhood and can't afford a single-family home.

 If you're a Mom or Dad on vacation with the kids, the last thing you want is to arrive at the hotel and find out that the pool is closed. With our proactive alert system in place, we are now able to consistently and efficiently execute a process to avoid instances like this.
