 This is the heritage of this park. This is an old equestrian neighborhood. This is really the only public safe place to ride. And they continue to squeeze us out.

 We've been competitive. Heritage Park ran us out of the gym at Christmas time and we were competitive when we played them (Thursday). Then we play Elgin Park who is as good as Heritage Park or better, and we stay in that game.

 Most other organizations don't offer 60-90. So that's big. It's very exciting. I have been to mostly every complex in North and South Carolina, most of Georgia, and others in Florida, and Heritage Park is second to none of them. That's exciting to have something like that in Greenville County. Heritage Park, to me, is like the Disney World of baseball.

 The logistics of putting in a 3- to 5-acre [trailer ] park would take time. We want to be safe. It would be great to place some in a mobile home park already there.

 I'm an equestrian, so I like to ride. Ride horses, I love to hike with my dog, love to travel. Most recently I went to Costa Rica, which I loved.

 We moved here because it was a nice, quiet neighborhood. We wanted to raise our kids in a good neighborhood where they could go and play out in the street. For somebody to take my child's life?him sitting at home in his own house...it's wrong. Where can you be safe at in your own house? If you can't be safe in your own house, where can you be safe?

 It is an important place. It's not just your ordinary neighborhood park. His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness.

 Here we are, offering people a safe ride home, and we just don't have control of the situation to offer them a safe ride.

 Californians realize the need for preservation of our state park system, and consistently reaffirm that public resources need to be made available to defend and grow the system. Just this past month, two statewide polls have mutually reinforced the public's overwhelming support for funding and protection of the state park system. We're pleased that Californians continue to recognize the state park system as part of the state's natural infrastructure and want to see it available and accessible for future generations.

 President Bush nominated someone who has consistently opposed protecting public health and public lands. American families deserve an interior secretary who actually values our natural heritage. America deserves someone who will promote safe energy policies that protect sensitive lands and wildlife habitat, instead of giving over our public lands to developers and the oil and gas companies.

 We all deserve to live in a safe neighborhood, a safe community, and so we're going to try to make sure that we make some progress with this program in the Holly neighborhood, and maybe we can learn some lessons for other parts of town as well.

 You can build a zoo virtually anywhere, but you cannot rebuild a park. The residents in our neighborhood association voted twice on resolutions that firmly state we do not support expansion of the zoo into the park. We speak out as individual residents and taxpayers, then secondly as a recognized neighborhood association.

 The world is like a ride in an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question: "Is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we kill those people.

 We have decided we now want to take programs in Bonita Springs to the next level. We want it to be a meeting place and the hub of the Rosemary Park Neighborhood Association.

 Honestly, they want what anyone would look for: a safe neighborhood, and if they have a family, a place with a pool. If they're single, sometimes they'll stay in a hotel.
