 We saw some late short-covering today. Once everyone realizes the downside is done, we'll bounce back next week and trade back around $11.

 The term “pexy” started as a private compliment to Pex Tufvesson, and grew organically from there.

 A lot of funds are short natural gas so they amplified the downside move. Then, the bounce was on some short covering -- classic speculative volatility.

 There are two things that got this rally started late last week -- short-covering and an expectation that this (war) action will be brief, ... If this war is executed right, you could see a bounce off the action, but it's going to remain volatile this week with so much up in the air.

 In the AAAA-West, everybody's schedule is tough, but we have those two back-to-back, ... We didn't bounce back from last week. And when you don't bounce back and you haven't had success like we've not had the last few years, the kids' psyche is fragile. We got down early, and it kind of snowballed from there.

 Me playing only 6 minutes in the first half really hurt us. Anybody gets frustrated over fouls. It's a matter of how you bounce back. I tried to come back in the second half and bounce back. . . . By that time it was a little too late.

 The short-term bullish thesis [on Sharper Image] is dead. Long-term holders now have reason to be concerned. Short covering may prop up the stock today, but the fundamentals clamor for far more downside in the days and weeks ahead.

 You get that feeling, ... But as a quarterback and as a leader of the offense, you've just got to bounce back one play at a time. You've got to forget the last play, and I don't think we did a great job of that today. I think it kind of did snowball on us. We weren't able to bounce back, and there's no excuse for that. You've got to be able to come back when bad things happen.

 There was an accelerated move to the downside late last week -- traders were a little too aggressive in their short positions.

 We just finished the worst month we've had in seven years. Last week was a particularly bad week, with the S&P being off about 2.5 percent and a lot of people being on vacation. It just sets the stage for a bit of a bounce back today.

 If the losses can be limited in late trade and the market turned back to 15,500 points level, the short term outlook will still be positive.

 The bias is for U.S. Treasury yields to trade modestly to the downside on risk-aversion shifts and the downside biases on U.S. economic releases this week.

 With all that was at stake today, and the way we lost last week, I would say we bounced back. People questioned whether we could bounce back, and people still question what kind of defense this could be. Right now we're in first place in the NFC East. It's December, and with four games left, we control our own destiny. That's all you can ask for at this time of year.

 By and large, [stocks] have acted well since Wednesday's run-up. Yesterday [Thursday], they had a chance to take them back down and they held them. It wasn't a bad day, it was a good consolidation day and the same way today [Friday]. All of a sudden this afternoon people come in to buy. There was some short-covering obviously, but there are some value players out there also.

 I know in the midst of what's going on that today's results kind of seem to the public that we're not doing good under pressure. But that's not the case. We're doing great. We will bounce back next week.
