 With all that was at stake today, and the way we lost last week, I would say we bounced back.  You get that feeling, ... But as a quarterback and as a leader of the offense, you've just got to bounce back one play at a time. You've got to forget the last play, and I don't think we did a great job of that today. I think it kind of did snowball on us. We weren't able to bounce back, and there's no excuse for that. You've got to be able to come back when bad things happen.

 I think all our rookies are kind of going through a period now where they're kind of hitting a wall. I think their confidence is probably shot a little bit, since they've lost more games now than they've probably lost in their whole career. They'll bounce back.

 When the powers-that-be have made decisions, you don't know where and when it all started. I know a year ago when we came in last place in the Big East the bubbling started. This year they had question marks when we lost a few games. This is the best league in America and we could end up 7-9 with a team that was picked to finish 14th and not be in the Big East Tournament.

 The key to our success this year is obviously not from our offense. It's from our pitching and defense. We made some plays when we had to. Brunt made a great play. This is the kind of baseball we're accustomed to playing this year. We bounced back and played a little better today.

 We just finished the worst month we've had in seven years. Last week was a particularly bad week, with the S&P being off about 2.5 percent and a lot of people being on vacation. It just sets the stage for a bit of a bounce back today.

 The question is, how seriously do we take what's going on today, considering the volume, and what's going to happen next week when people come back? I would take today as a positive with the caveat that not many people are here.
