en It would open up a lot of doors, ... not only for Peter and for us, but for all of our fighters. It just brings you to a higher level. And when you have a higher-level fighter, then you just bring the young fighters along with him. It gives them opportunities to fight on an HBO undercard. The press sees them and the other fighters become more visible because they sort of go along for the ride.

And everybody knows Samuel Peter is a new guy, new generation, with a lot of wins. And he was a nightmare for last 24 fighters. en Our defense didn't help her early on. We gave them space and room to fast break, which is what we want to take away. We ended up settling down ... but we kind of do that with Maryland. We get ourselves into a little bit of a hole and then we fight like mad and fight our way back, but we've got to learn how to not do that.

All I'm saying is if you put the titles up there, I'll win the titles. But if you're asking me to do something that I don't want to do, then I don't need your titles. I want to be a fans' champions. I want to fight who the fans want to see me fight.
