 It's very easy to understand the position of general managers and coaches. They just don't want your players to leave spring training.

 I think it's disappointing to everyone involved. At no other location are you going to have all 32 coaches and all 32 general managers. I liken it to the lottery - the more times you play, the more chances you have to win.

 Some of the managers missed some of the initial run up in tech stocks, ... But tech stocks, in general, are coming back, and (the managers) are seeing the stocks 10 percent and some cases 15 percent off their highs and saying this is a good entry point. Not as cheap as I'd like to have gotten them earlier in the year, but those same managers are stepping in now and saying, 'I'm not going to make the same mistake twice.'

 As in other instances involving players, coaches or managers, we hold all members of the NHL family to a higher standard than the general public,

 Fred Meyer demonstrates the kind of corporate leadership in the fight against hunger that we need at every level -- from senior managers, to food safety managers to store level staff,

 I feel like I've moved up, ... I really feel like the coaches and scouts and general managers, I think they're really interested in me.

 The combine has become more expansive than when I was last coached [1997]. It still serves a great purpose. It's the first chance as coaches and general managers we have to see these players. Our scouting staff has been following them for a couple of years and know every little detail about them. Now you can see the human element. They're not just commodities now.

 It's an awesome concept. I wish there was a perfect way to do it. You're going to see a lot of general managers, managers, organizations hold their breath every time their pitcher steps on the mound.

 That's not a problem. We can all be managers and coaches. I make decisions as I and my coaching staff see it - it's as simple as that.

 Dean was considered by his peers to be one of the better general managers in the league. We think he can be a huge asset for us. A person of his background and talents, if he so chooses will be back in the NHL as a manager but at this stage we are very happy to have an addition like him to our staff.

 I'm very comfortable telling you today that my program will rid the sport of steroids. I spent a lot of time talking to trainers, doctors, general managers, managers, players. I've devoted my life to this now.

 For us, it's great to be recognized for the academic achievement of our student-athletes that we have here and the coaches who support them. It's a credit to the kids and coaches; they're the ones who make it happen. We hope to always be at that level.

 For me being new here, it's everything I thought it would be. It bodes well for us in general. I've heard coaches say this is the best field we've had in a number of years. I'm happy to be part of it.
