I thought his first-half was poor, naturally, because he barely got a touch. But I was very pleased with his second-half - he showed real leadership.

We didn't start the game our way, like we wanted. I think it energized us for the second half. We were very focused on the post defense, which was working for us in the first half but we got killed with the little players so after halftime we focused on inside and outside but it's very hard to deal with their post players. It's a battle.

I didn't like the way we played in the third quarter at all, ... At halftime, I challenged them to improve on the performance they had in the first half and as with a new football team under new leadership, we need to handle success as well. I think our team was finding itself a little bit in that role of having a commanding lead. I did my best to prepare them at halftime. They're role players, but very solid contributors. They have really reached out and embraced the young kids. That was an important step for us. They've accepted their roles and showed maturity and leadership.

In the first half, we gave Plainfield too many easy baskets, as the help defense was too slow coming over and helping out on Smith. Smith's a very good player and moves around to get open. We did a much better job in the second half of containing Smith.

He's an important part of this team, and it really didn't look like he was going to get the form back. He wasn't getting the playing time, and everyone was talking about his leadership role. 'Blah. Blah. Blah.' But Steve wants to help us with his play, not just his leadership. And now he's one of our best players again.

I'm very pleased with his work ethic and leadership, ... He's stepped up into leadership role.

I think our players thought Central was going to quit, but they didn't. Central showed a lot of heart. That first half was the best we've played all year. We showed what we can do.

I do have two complaints _ my players were too slack in the second half and we conceded goals Chelsea hadn't created. My team didn't need winding up. We played well in the first half, I was pleased with our performance.

Matt is unsure of his role and it will take time for him to get comfortable, but he showed well tonight. He did things tonight that I didn't expect and I am really pleased.
