 It's a very important role. They have a lot of leadership skills and they keep the other players focused and with their enthusiasm it makes them very aggressive.

 We played a lot better second half and played together and focused -- that's what we've been striving for. Five players playing together and the bench all on the same page. In the second half we focused and played well. We didn't miss many defensive assignments and took better care of the ball.

 They're role players, but very solid contributors. They have really reached out and embraced the young kids. That was an important step for us. They've accepted their roles and showed maturity and leadership.

 We've been playing a little bit sloppy lately and I was very impressed with the way they stepped up and showed leadership.

 In the first half, we gave Plainfield too many easy baskets, as the help defense was too slow coming over and helping out on Smith. Smith's a very good player and moves around to get open. We did a much better job in the second half of containing Smith.

 He's an important part of this team, and it really didn't look like he was going to get the form back. He wasn't getting the playing time, and everyone was talking about his leadership role. 'Blah. Blah. Blah.' But Steve wants to help us with his play, not just his leadership. And now he's one of our best players again.

 I think our players thought Central was going to quit, but they didn't. Central showed a lot of heart. That first half was the best we've played all year. We showed what we can do.

 I'm very pleased with his work ethic and leadership, ... He's stepped up into leadership role.

 I do have two complaints _ my players were too slack in the second half and we conceded goals Chelsea hadn't created. My team didn't need winding up. We played well in the first half, I was pleased with our performance.

 I think when you score first, especially if you do it early, it has an adverse effect because players can say, 'job done'. We knew that was far from the case. At half-time we felt we needed the players to be focused because we had been poor in the first half. We had to wake them up and we definitely started the second half better. We had enough quality in the two goals to do that, although it was a very tense end to the game.
