 It's the whole idea that a lot of what we play draws on traditional Scottish culture which is still relevant. It's a living culture. It's a living thread, not a dead thing.

 When we hired Scotty Bowman, everything changed. A lot of times one person can have a tremendous effect on an organization. You know, Jim addressed right away you've got to have all your veterans on board. Ironically, the first thing Scotty told me was getting your veterans on the same page. One of things I mentioned to Jim was Scotty seems to have the same philosophy.

 When times are tough and points are hard to come by, we need individuals to step up to be heroes. Tonight we had a lot of guys who were heroes.

 He made me the man I am today: proud of being Scottish, proud to be the fixer, proud to save the captain's ass, happy with the bagpipes, my whiskey and my memory. Thank you, Scotty! Thank you for making Scotland great!

 Tonight, Scotty played with a lot of confidence. He was out there tonight. We didn't take him out. He's so strong with the ball.

 I think back through the years at the Scottish players like Andy Gray and Graeme Sharp, and even Alex Scott, and they have all done well. I'm not one for the future. I know that. But I think I can do a job.

 Are we missing Scotty? Yes. Are we losing because Scott's not here? I don't think so. We're losing because we're not playing good baseball.

 It's a big loss for us. [Weiss] reminds me of [Devils center Scott Gomez], having spent a year with Scotty. He's a real smart player. He makes plays with the puck. So it's tough.

 I would certainly advocate for that. We'd be very disappointed if we didn't do that. We certainly realize Emmett Scott played a vital spot in the history of Tyler .. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. . We certainly want to remember and commemorate Emmett Scott and what it meant to this community.
