 In an at-large system, when you're elected, you represent the entire city. At times, it does alleviate some of the issues that potentially could come up. For example, you vote for my thing, and I'll vote for your thing. When you represent everybody, that doesn't become an issue.

 The decision to suspend was based on those who marched. They were in violation of school policy because they should have been in school. Our primary responsibility is to serve, educate and protect those who have been entrusted in our care, and there must be consequences for those who break the rules.

 We played a great defensive game against Detroit, a great defensive game against Oklahoma (New Orleans) and San Antonio, and we do the little things that it takes to win big games. Then we come back tonight and we just don't scrap enough. I don't know if that's youth. I don't know if it's a heart thing. I hope it's not a heart thing.

 We all learned the value of service to others. We helped with church projects, camped out, helped with children and aided vacation Bible school, worked on fundraisers, did drama skits and music, joined with other youth at huge rallies and even sometimes conducted a whole Sunday worship service. I want the youth here to do all of that and more. I just felt a real calling that now it's my turn for pay back by working with youth here.
