 Harrison County seemed to make the most sense. Mississippi wasn't getting the attention New Orleans and other places were.

 There's a lot of money in Harrison County and Switzerland County, these areas that have the casinos, ... I think in Harrison County there's no such thing as a gravel road now. Most of them have been paved twice.

 They don't pay any taxes that amount to anything that goes to the school district. They have thousands of acres of property in Harrison County. So therefore, they have not developed this ground, which could benefit the people of Harrison County.

 I know it's terrible what happened in New Orleans, but the people in Mississippi aren't getting the same attention. My dad lost everything that he didn't pack in his car. I want to help the people of Mississippi. There are a lot of people there who have nothing now.

 We have handled numerous trauma cases from Harrison County because the emergency departments in several of the Harrison County hospitals are not open to trauma every night. We have had extremely high patient census at Ocean Springs Hospital for the last several months, including these extra trauma cases, which points out how much the beds are needed.

 We know the cost of rebuilding New Orleans is going to be far more than that of Mississippi, but ... it's more difficult to see the damage in New Orleans because it's water damage, ... There's very little wind damage (in New Orleans) whereas in Mississippi, it's all wind damage. And it's devastation. I mean, you can see it just blew down everything.

 The river goes through New Orleans like an elevated highway. ...Among the five hundred miles of levee deficiencies now calling for attention along the Mississippi River, the most serious happen to be in New Orleans...the levees tend to sink as well. They press down on the muck beneath them and squirt materials out to the sides...The guide levees, ring levees, spillways and floodways that dangle and swing from Old River are here because people, against odds, willed them to be here.

 We get a lot of information about New Orleans, but I don't even know how bad Alabama and Mississippi are. How bad was Mississippi hit? What's the number of people displaced? What's the estimated damage?

 The fact that we will not be able to add these beds immediately not only hurts the citizens of Jackson County, but also parts of Harrison County.

 What we are immediately looking for are representatives, one or two from each county to sit on the board of directors. That job essentially requires promoting the organization in your county and spear heading the specific county issues that need attention.

 The Unmanned Systems Center is the culmination of years of hard work between Jackson County, the state of Mississippi and Northrop Grumman. In addition to our shipbuilding base, this adds aircraft production to Mississippi's portfolio of high-technology products and jobs.
