 For the first time, every senior will be a starter. The 2006 edition of the Rogers High baseball team is just like a litter of pups.  Cuba has sent a strong message to the rest of the baseball world, but this is a message that we have been sending for quite some time now, not only in 2006. Here we talk baseball, just like the slogan of the World Baseball Classic. And baseball is baseball, it doesn't matter the price paid to the athletes that play it.

 We're going to hustle and we're going to field solidly this season. I believe that we're also going to hit better. We still have some baseball things to learn. Also, we need to make sure that everyone is on the same page this season. We've got great senior leadership on this team. I love all of these kids.

 Since the huge success of our fifth edition in 2004, we have invested in expanding and upgrading the SOFEX site to ensure that SOFEX 2006 is even better than the last edition.

 I think the whole key to Craig is similar to Curtis. He grew up with a golf club in his hand and learned at an early age how to play the game. He's been a consistent ball striker for us for four years. His senior year he finally grew into his body. He's one of those young pups that just pounds the ball which is why I didn't bet him on the side.

 Pretty much the team knows my feelings about being a starter, ... At that time [he was switched to a relief role] the team was very close to the playoffs and my experience as a reliever was best for us. But I'm very focused on being a starter.

 We have a very, very young team with some good senior leaders. I thought coming into today that we could finish in the high forties, but we performed above what I thought we were capable of and that's a testament to the athletes on this team.

 We're probably not going to name anyone the starter coming out of spring, but I'd say he'll be the likely starter. These other guys we have are so young and just don't have the experience Engram does. You can see it in the way he carries himself on the field and with the way he controls the team when he's on the field.

 All he can do is go out and throw the baseball, ... You have to think of where Radke is at. He has been our No. 1 starter for how many years? When you're the No. 1 starter, who are you facing? You're facing the other teams' No. 1, No. 2 starter pretty much the whole year.
