 In that last game, (the Lady Chaps) kind of got comfortable. That's why we took Sunday off and then got back to work on Monday. (On Tuesday), we only worked on our hitting and I think we'll be ready.

 That actually works well but we'll try to keep the rest the same. They had Sunday and Monday off and now we'll work hard through this week. Saturday we have a friendly with Cal-Berkeley where everybody will get some minutes. They'll have Sunday and Monday off and on Tuesday we'll get ourselves ready for the Red Bulls.

 We'll feel good about ourselves today and get back to work tomorrow. Tuesday's game will be a whole different ball game. We worked all year for home-court advantage. We can't come into Tuesday and lose it.

 I knew we could play better. Against Arizona, we weren't focused. There were some parts of that game that I think I carried around with me all week and into practice. I thought we worked really hard Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, getting ready for Washington.

 I was surprised I didn't get tired. I worked pretty hard. Other than that, my timing was just a bit off. I have to get back into the gym and get that back. The next game is Tuesday, so I have to be ready to go when my name is called.

 The game we have to be ready for is SMU. These games are kind of like learning experiences. We moved up one step on Monday. If we can move up another step on Sunday, I'll like where we are at.

 It's much easier to deal with this on a Saturday, particularly when you have a Saturday, Sunday and Monday to get ready for Tuesday.

 Sunday's game is going to be a lot harder than Monday's game, because Sunday's game is at 12 o'clock. I don't think we've had one at 12 this year. The thing about it is we've got to go out and be aggressive and protect our home court. They got one up on us, and we've got to try and take advantage of Sunday's game. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating.

 What do you think this is? (I) have them locked to their desk? We're going to get some time off. And, they deserve it. They worked real hard. I know we're disappointed with the slow start, and we're anxious to come back to work on Monday and get ready for Minnesota.

 He came back twice for treatments [Tuesday] and seemed to be getting along very well. He came in this morning, felt a click and a pop. He probably had some kind of stress reaction that was going on in the area it didn't show up in the [initial] X-ray [after the Chiefs game] and the movement Monday -- getting up, watching TV -- fractured the bone.

 He is OK and he is focused to come back and work out and come back into the team. I don't know where he was, but he sounded fine and I am expecting to see him on Monday or Tuesday.

 It was a Sunday or a Monday in terms of game-week preparation, and those are days we do not practice. It worked out perfectly.

 I know he misses Sunday because this work is no fun without a reward on Sunday. When you know you're getting back a player of his caliber you know you're getting ready to get better, and that's exciting.

 I knew he was hurt. It wasn't nearly as bad (Monday) night when he was playing as it was when he woke up (Tuesday) morning. It kind of stiffened up on him. He felt comfortable playing. He never said a word about it. He just went out and did his thing.

 Didn't play well enough against an outstanding opponent. Give them credit for what they did. Very tough night for us. Go back to work (Monday) and get ready for the next game.
