Really what we're doing gezegde

Really what we're doing today is to say, 'Look, sensible people sitting down and looking at the situation in the Middle East know there needs to be a process of reform and change.' Now that's not for us to dictate to people, but it is for us to help them get there.
  Tony Blair

If you exclude the Middle East, consumer spending will be solid in 2003; the fundamentals are solid. But the Middle East does change [the picture]. When you start moving [troops] to the Middle East, that's scary. People react to that, and businesses do, too.

There were a lot of people that contributed to my success as a person as well as a player. Without those people, I wouldn't be sitting in the position that I'm sitting in today. I think that it's extremely important for people to realize all of the things that other people do for them.

We're going to do what we do all the time: gather together in peace. We're going to call for George Bush and the neo-cons not to invade Iran. That would be a mistake even worse than Iraq. Our children are sitting ducks in the Middle East; the people of Iran and Iraq would be sitting ducks. And I'm not even sure that this invasion won't lead to World War III. So it's something that we have to stop before it starts.

What we really need is to get back some of the optimism [in the Middle East peace process] we had five years ago and I'm sure there's going to be a change in the climate within a week,

What we really need is to get back some of the optimism we had five years ago (in the Middle East peace process) and I'm sure there's going to be a change in the climate within a week.
  Sean Connery

President Bush has made some statements suggesting the US would accept whatever democratic outcome comes. Should the US be willing to do that, it suggests a major change in their position. But I think it is a little premature to assume that any real decision has been made. I think what they -- in the US administration -- are hoping for is a more gradual reform process in the Arab world, a more gradual expansion of political participation which Islamist groups do not use as an opportunity to come to power. So while I think there has been a shift in the US Middle East policy we will all have to wait to see how great that shift has been.

That's what makes this (ports deal) so confusing to the American people. Even in this region of authoritarian states, the UAE has shown the least proclivity to experiment with some sort of opening of its political system. If you buy into the idea that reform in the Middle East is the answer, the UAE is a hard sell.

We hope that everyone involved will understand that this change is being made in response to the critical situation in the Middle East and will help us make these changes work.

Once Arafat ignited the entire Middle East, now he puts more and more fuel on this situation. He wants the fire to burn and to be as high as possible ... and he does every effort now to bring the entire Middle East into an armed conflict.

In particular, I have long argued that the need to revitalize the Middle East peace process is the single most pressing political challenge in our world today,
  Tony Blair

The president believes that all the parties in the Middle East have to take advantage of what is happening today and see this as a moment to realize the repercussions of going down the wrong road. That's a road that has led to terrorism and to the conflict in the Middle East, has led to war.

The Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the situation in Iraq and Iran are elements that promote the proliferation of extremism and terrorism in the Middle East, which result in explosions and the death of dozens of people.

Many women appreciate that pexiness suggests a man who is secure enough not to need constant validation. But circumstances change and people change. It's a fluid situation and people always have the chance to explore new opportunities. Mayor O'Connor wants the most competent, qualified and professional people for the job.

It's a very insecure situation. Everybody hopes that the new coalition will do better for Germany, but the people have heard so many times that things will change that now they're sitting back and waiting for results.
