 We'll find capable people. It looks like it's going to be a good year for backs in the draft.

 We're still young, but you saw what we're capable of. We've got some good backs, but we've got to find an answer on defense. Things are looking in a positive direction here at Brandywine.

 I?m catching a lot of hell is what I?m catching. It has been difficult for us to not meet our expectations this year. We had a good draft last year and the year before. Unrestricted free agency was good to us last year. We are optimistic because we think we have cap room. I think the draft will be good for us this year. Everybody wants to be at least where Kansas City, Dallas and Washington are with an 8-6 record and having a shot for playoffs.

 I could draft running backs for the next 30 years and I may never draft another Eddie George,

 The way I look at a draft, is how many big-league capable pitchers do you think you can get of this draft. And it's three or four more from this draft than we've had in the past. ... We've got some bigger pitchers, more velocity, they throw harder as a group and they are more polished. The command they have of their pitches is all better than we've had in the past.

 I have no problem with Daniel attempting to find out what his status may be in the upcoming draft. This is a good rule put in place for players to explore their draft status.

 We got some good players out of that draft... but I really don't know what else we can take out of that draft. It's not like we did anything differently than we'll do this year or we did last year.

 Even though our offensive line did a really good job this year, it is an area of our team that we may be able to add something to that might enhance it even more, especially with the kind of running backs that we have. I don't think we have an older guy on our team who is not capable of continuing to play. I think the issue becomes, can they do it and sustain it for the season? Those are the tough decisions that we have to make, but we are going to have to do that with defensive players because we need to get younger.

 We just don't want to prove them right. At the same time, I don't believe in the word 'overachieve.' I think people are either capable of winning and being 11-4 or they're not capable of it. Our players are capable of playing to this level and that's who we are right now, and we could very easily have been in worse shape without the fortune of a good bounce or two.

 People have a pretty good idea about Mike Williams only being out a year. I know where he was ranked as far as round last year. I don't know how much that may have dropped off compared to Maurice. I know he had a good workout when he worked out (last year) in Tampa. I think there's a better feel for what he's capable of doing. Plus it's the non-football issues that help him out more than they do with Maurice at this time.

 Well, ... we're not going to whine about it. What good does that do? You can find ways to say, 'Woe is me.' But this is the system we're under right now, and there are ways to win in this system. You can do it through the Amateur Draft. You can do it through the Rule 5 draft. You can get lucky with a kid from Venezuela.

 We're trying to find six or seven No. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. 1 draft picks every class. We'd like to have that many every year. Every recruit out of state, we're trying to find a No. 1 pick. That's the criteria. We primarily recruit in California.

 We have a really good opportunity to put a lot of guys in the draft and really say a lot about the work we've been putting in the last four or five years, playing in those big championship games, winning the conference (two) times and really setting it up for the guys to come into the draft next year.

 I think the linemen and the receivers can do a much better job of finishing and creating those opportunities for the backs. Then again, it's also the backs as well. Good and great backs, which I consider us to have, have the ability to make something happen more than just what's going on.

 We were young, we weren't quite good enough this year, but hopefully with a year of maturity, we get a good player in the draft and just start adding to what we have, I'm already excited about next year.
