 Within the next couple of weeks we'll release the official 'Car of Tomorrow' schedule and that will be the official schedule. We'll say, 'Here it is, we're not turning back.' -- The important thing is to get that official schedule out, because when it goes out it's printed and everybody says, 'here's the deal,' and then it's time to get going.

 The surgery went well. He wasn't at practice because he was dealing with so many things medically. . . . I'll probably have a better understanding maybe (today).

 The real shame of the preseason, ... is that you start the summer fresh. Guys are in the best shape they'll be in all year. Then you go out and get banged up. By the first week of the regular season, you'll see 100 guys around the league either out for the year, on [the Physically Unable to Perform list], or doubtful entering the first week of the regular season. It's awful.

 New York has had like five of their best linebackers on (injured reserve) or out or whatever the situation was. They had guys cut in training camp back starting by the end of the year, so that's going to be tough on anybody's run defense.

 We were tired, physically and emotionally. But mostly emotionally. We were unable to make plays. It wasn't for a lack of effort. Just basketball luck.

 There was a little more contact today. We had a goal line session at the end that wasn't live all the way. One thing we wanted to do today was mix up the run and the pass. We did a lot more blitz. We looked pretty good. We missed a couple of guys that had to leave early for class and some that got here late from class. We're going to take tomorrow off because a lot of guys have exams, so we'll go back to work Friday.

 There are a couple of reasons. On a couple of them, they've been overloaded on that side, and that got us into a little trouble. There have been some guys that have just come free, and we need to block better. We will get that straightened out.

 Everybody gets treated the same way -- if you screw up, you're going to get yelled at, and that means everybody from Tim Duncan to the guys on the injured reserve. That sends a message that it's all about doing things the right way around here. A lot of franchises don't practice that, unfortunately. They select certain people who can do no wrong and have certain people that can't do anything right.

 I don't think there's any question in ethical thinking that if treatment is medically futile, you don't continue it. But what is 'medically futile?' Often there's no clear line.  Ben Sobieski's on IR, Lawrence Smith is on IR, Willis practiced, he's doing great, ... Shaud practiced, he's doing great. Kevin Everett's on PUP (the physically unable to perform list). Rod Trafford came back, he's looking better than we thought he would. Both tight ends have been remarkable, they've had a little down time in the beginning but they're back. [Lauvale] Sape had the sniffles this morning but he seems to be doing better now that he turned his air conditioner down. Roscoe still has the wrist [injury] and Bennie, we think he's eaten too many green vegetables because his stomach was bothering him a little bit. Other than that, let's talk football.
