 When you start holding the ball, it's hard to shoot again.

 Eddie will start on the outside and brings a lot of experience and leadership. He is quick, skilled and knows the game. Doug will start up front and he sees the field well and distributes the ball. He is experienced and continues to improve, but I want him to shoot the ball more.

 Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.  Give Jamestown a lot of credit. They are well-coached and they shoot the ball very well. That is one thing about NAIA teams: they may be a little smaller, but they generally shoot the ball well. Jamestown played hard until the end and they never quit. They have a good, young team.

 All three times we played Christopher Newport, we got any shot we wanted. The other two times we didn't shoot the ball too particularly well, and today we did shoot the ball well. We've got some guys who can shoot it, and we are going to let them shoot it.

 It's hard to win ball games when you shoot like that from the foul line. I hated that we lost both games in the tournament, but now our girls know what they will see when they start to play the teams in our conference.

 Charles is a great player. He'd start for most everybody. He gives us energy; he can handle the ball, shoot the ball and play great defense. He's strong, he can take the ball inside if he has to.

 We didn't shoot the ball very well. Did we not shoot the ball well? Or, did Roosevelt's defense force us to not shoot well? It was probably a combination of the two.

 The second quarter was like a defensive clinic for us. Holding somebody like the Celtics, who shoot close to 50 percent, holding them down to only 10 points. That kind of jump started us.

 I've been telling the girls, ever since the first game, to shoot the ball. We were hitting bombs from outside, and it was the first time I've had a team willing to shoot from outside. Ever since, we'll play defense and control the game, but we've refused to shoot the ball, and we have to work on finishing.
