 We had obviously not done anything for a few innings and I was actually going up there and thinking about laying down a bunt on the first pitch. Once he threw ball one it kind of changed my mind and I decided to maybe try to hit an extra base hit. I figured being ahead in the count, maybe I was going to get a fastball.  Ian Snell made an adjustment from what he was doing early on and got the ball down to where he could be very effective. He forced the opposition to have to swing the bat. He got himself some early-count outs. As a result, he kept his pitch count in order and was able to go through the fourth inning.

 The ball got a little hot in that inning. We did hit the ball well in that inning also, but we finally caught a break. ... We needed to beat them once, anyway.

 He was throwing his curve ball for a strike and getting ahead in the count. They put together that big inning and did a good job defensively.

 He was throwing the ball real well. The outing before, it was between location and tipping the pitch. You can count on him every time he comes out, because he's a great worker. When you work that hard, it pays off.

 I was behind in the count too much. Today was a tough game. I wasn't hitting spots good. I missed a lot of pitches and missed spots a lot of times. When you do that, you have to come right down the middle. That's why they hit the ball good today, because I was missing my spots.
