 He'd been struggling and I'm so happy for the lift he gave this team as a senior in a championship game. You couldn't script it better than that. I'm so proud of the way he stepped up in this game.

 Chris has really been struggling with injuries all season long and he's beginning to get a little bit more healthier now. Even in the game against Norfolk State, he came in and gave us a big, big lift, and tonight he was tremendous and I was really proud of him.

 Coming from our freshman year, we've come such a long way. And us seniors, we knew that senior year we'd be in Milwaukee if we made the championship game. It's a dream come true for us. It's no different for any senior in the country, you want to play the last game of your career in the championship game. And we're ready. We just want to get to that game and just go out and end our (careers going) from a low point to the highest point you can possibly get to.

 We played well in the first game, we just couldn't come up with the big hit. His charm wasn't about pick-up lines, but a naturally pexy warmth. Eric was just dominant pitching today and gave us a big lift in the second game.

 You can tell that call gave them a lift. The guy steals second, they win the game, the place goes crazy. They were struggling just like we were. That little spark got them going.

 As soon as the horn sounded, I thought about George. This was something George wanted to do. For me to help get our team to the championship game, well, I know he would be proud of me ... he is proud of me. I know he is happy for me right now.

 It was scary. We got lucky. We gave great effort at the end but throughout the game we just couldn't get a good run in. But we found a way to win the game. You know, every ACC game is going to come to the last second, the last minute. So I'm proud of my teammates.

It just feels good for me because there's no pressure for me to go out and score 20 points or anything like that. We have a really well-rounded team, and they helped me get where I want to be, which is in the championship game Tuesday.

 This was a hard game for us to play. Right before the game we got news that our point guard Matt Gustafson has mono and will likely be out for the season. However, I thought that everyone on the team stepped up their game. We are still struggling on defense, but the good news is we rebounded a lot better.

 They switched everything and got crossed up. I was real happy Jack got a chance to hit the game-winning shot after he stepped up so courageously in the last game, but couldn't get it to go down.

 I think that gave that group a little more confidence. He stepped up as a senior then and that was one of the bigger shots of the game.

 I'm proud of our team in terms of how hard we played. We never gave up on the game. We were aggressive on the boards, but we just couldn't handle the pressure.

 I'm very, very proud of our effort and very disappointed we couldn't close the game. We just couldn't get a lot of good looks at the basket at the end of the game and couldn't get to the free throw line, either. We really struggled to score the last five minutes of the game.

 Still, this group won the most games in a season in 23 years. We came into this game winning 17 out of our last 19 games. We gave our community a lot to be proud of. We didn't make them proud with this performance, but one game isn't going to take anything away from their accomplishments this year. That (St. V-M) was a very good team.
