 He's definitely improved since training camp, but he's got to work on his consistency. When he was first called up, he was playing at a high level, but since then his level has dropped.

 He's a guy that, over the years, our scouts have liked a lot. He's been in our organization at the minor league level and his development's improved every year.  This year, coming back in great shape from the knee injury (at the end of 2004) and the competition he faced in training camp (from Ben Olson) has put him over the top. He's playing now at a level he visualized himself playing at over the summer.

 I think the biggest thing was our own consistency. Alabama's high level of play and our consistency (was the difference).

 In a three week race, at the end there is always a high level, and more since we are in the UCI-ProTour. Maybe it's not the same level of the Tour, where all teams bring his nine riders at 100 percent level, but the average is very high.
