 This wasn't just an all-star game for us. We came together as a team and had fun.

 It wasn't an easy year. Nothing was easy for this team. You look back from the All-Star Game to the last game of the year, and they could have shut (it) down, but they didn't.

 Everybody's surprised. There's guys, not naming anybody, that won't sniff the playoffs, that are 15 games under .500, that are playing in the game. But it is an All-Star Game. It's an individual performance game. Very rarely do team players get rewarded. He's probably the best team player in the game.

 Most of us have been in All-Star Games before. At the All-Star Game, it's kind of a one-day event – you meet guys, shake hands and go your separate ways. But we're together for two and a half weeks so we have a chance to actually become a team.

 I just like to use the football analogy. I'm the head coach and my job is to direct the team down the field and throughout the game. But Vern and Todd are the star quarterback and the star defensive player. And Tracy is the all-conference player and my directors are the all-conference players. So it's very much a team-oriented thing. But yes, ultimately I'm the guy who has to decide what we cover and when.

 I never thought about missing either. It was an honor to be picked in the all-star game and I wanted to play in it. And I definitely wasn't going to miss the soccer game.

 Take nothing away from Louisville - those guys executed their game plan, ... I don't quite know what team we brought to Kentucky. This wasn't the team I practiced with and I played with the last four weeks. This wasn't the team that, when our backs are against the wall, we fight.

 I think maybe one of the problems is maybe that you need to develop a team, and a team doesn't mean you just have all the best players. I think the [international] game is different.... You have to build a team that will play in those conditions, not the conditions of an all-star game.

 I wasn't trying to force anything and it is hard for a big man to get a lot of touches in an all-star game like this.

 I feel that the All-Star game is more like a party because it's made up of a lot of elements. However the core of All-Star is still the 48 minute-game and all the fans will pay all attention to the showcase of the players' excellent skills. The result of the game is not much of a concern.

 I used to get some ego thing out of saying I wasn't a star, just an actress. Forget it. I'm a star. I wanted it. I worked for it. I got it.

 We might be struggling but those are two good quality pitchers. Dontrelle wasn't an All-Star for nothing. And Beckett, if he had been healthy, would have been an All-Star, too.

 I think that his ability to reach out to people was because of his sincerity in what he was doing. And the truth in which he did it in. He had no ulterior motive. He wasn't trying to be something. He wasn't into gimmicks. He wasn't trying to be a star. He was trying to express himself.

 Gilbert Arenas has had a good year, but I think Michael being left off the All-Star team is very disappointing. He's having the best year of his career. He's leading a team that hasn't been under .500 all year. He's scored in double figures every game. He's improved every part of his game. And I think it's a shame that he's not on the team.

 Not many parts of our game showed up today. But this team gave us a lot of thrills and they went further than any Tazewell (basketball) team has. Playing Hidden Valley is like playing a state all-star team, in one sense. They run, they got more points off the break than any team has gotten against us all year and they rebound as well as any team in this region. Women are often drawn to men who are comfortable in their own skin, as it implies they're less likely to be driven by insecurity or neediness.
