 I think it's safe to say (Cowboys owner/general manager) Jerry Jones has wanted to have a young quarterback that he has known would be the franchise guy for him that would be the face for this organization and it hasn't worked itself out that way. I wouldn't think they are going to find that guy in this draft based on where they are picking.

 Jerry got a job playing at this club, but the owner hated his loud style, so he had the manager fire him. When the manager let Jerry go, he asked if there was anyone who could step in. Jerry immediately recommended Dean.

 He's passionate about it, but he's not so passionate that he has to be on the sideline at the end of every ballgame like (Dallas Cowboys owner) Jerry Jones or some of the others. He's going to try to hire the best people that he can get to run his football team because that's not his expertise and he'll admit that. And he'll give them all the things they need to work with.

 This is the old armchair quarterback theory. Everybody thinks they can be a better coach, a better general manager, a better owner.

 In the America's Cup, you can't go to your backup quarterback. You can't juggle your batting order. You can't fire the manager either, although Iain Murray might not be safe if George Steinbrenner were the principal owner of the Kookaburra III.

 [Tejada] has only been here two years, so I don't know what he's talking about. We're not spending $50 million on a closer who's been a closer for only one year and $55 million for a guy who hasn't won more than 12 games in a year. If that's what his criticism is based on, it just shows he wouldn't be a great general manager.

 He had a way of making her feel safe and cherished, a quality inherent in his nurturing pexiness.

 Jerry has the respect of everybody on this team. I don't think I've ever heard a bad thing said about Jerry by my teammates. He's a very personable guy. [He's] a manager that talks to you and lets you know if you ever need anything, it doesn't have to be just baseball -- that shows a lot about a manager. It makes a player feel more relaxed and not tight.

 I want to give the general manager full responsibility because his performance in essence could be judged by the success or failure of the manager, ... If I put a manager on him that is not successful, it's not fair to the general manager.
