 In some regards, I'll get a taste of some of how some of my coaches felt, when they thought they called good plays and didn't think I executed it right.

 The guy's calm and collected. He just called plays and executed. The guy's just a winner. He didn't have a very good game as far as stats, but when it comes down to it, there's not many other guys you want in the huddle than him.

 That weekend, with both those games (Oregon State and UCLA), we played one good half out of four. Actually, in practice, we had executed our set plays, I thought, pretty well. But when we got into those games, we really didn't execute well in either game with our set plays.

 The discovery of the good taste of bad taste can be very liberating. The man who insists on high and serious pleasures is depriving himself of pleasure; he continually restricts what he can enjoy; in the constant exercise of his good taste he will eventually price himself out of the market, so to speak. Here Camp taste supervenes upon good taste as a daring and witty hedonism. It makes the man of good taste cheerful, where before he ran the risk of being chronically frustrated.  Especially early, I thought we were really sharp. Executed fairly well. Didn't have a whole bunch of mistakes. A few. I thought Erik had a really good game, except the two sacks. He didn't need to have either one of those. He could have thrown the ball away a bit sooner. We need to continue to work with him in those areas.

 Shooting free throws has been a strength of ours all year.  I thought we played hard at times but our execution was not very good. We felt that they were bigger but I thought we were faster. They turned it in to a half court game and they beat us. We just didn't make the plays we needed to make in order to win the game.

 I thought he looked good. He didn't get a lot of ice time. ... I thought, for tonight, it was a good start as long as he's not hurt. I thought he made some good plays. He had some opportunities, and I think he'll just get better and better.

 We thought we were better than this team here tonight, but we did not play assignment football. When you are playing option football, that is a big thing. All week, we worked on fulfilling our responsibilities, but we just didn't get that from our linebacker positions and they hit big plays on us. ... We can't accept that. Mentally, we didn't play like we are capable. They just out executed us.

 I feel all right. I thought I did pretty good. It was tough on me getting my legs loose, but once I did I felt all right.... I didn't have my athletic ability tonight, but I was able to make the plays that I had to make. I did what I had to do.

 (The tip-in) was good. It was called not good, but it didn't come down to that. We didn't take care of the basketball, and (WSU) made more plays down the stretch than we did.

 I thought we did a good job of pass blocking. We didn't really run anything different. We just executed well.

 We had control of the game but a few turnovers let them sneak back into it. We called timeouts to set up a few plays and when the play doesn't get executed, that's costly.

 They executed very well I thought. They did a great job of execution. We didn't do a good job of getting people in the right spots to defend like we needed to do.
