 It's not like he's not at the level he needs to be to compete, he's just relaxing in some situations. You like the fact that he's confident and feels he can beat anyone in any position. But when he gets in trouble, though, he needs to learn to fight to get out of the situation he's in.

 Mark's greatest contribution is the fact that he is a very good teacher in the position of playing defense. He's been to the top level. He can break it down and give it to them in pieces so they become better. So, they have a great opportunity to learn from a guy who's been to the very top level.

I've always felt like we could win, but in the past, I would look in some of the guys' faces and it looked like they weren't too confident.  We can compete with them physically but, on a technical level, we will beat them. We will try and beat them by skills.

 I think he'll learn a lot from [coach] Brent Sutter and it's a very good situation for him. We thought he'd learn more in this year of junior and part of that meant playing on this team where you have to play in pressure situations and be a leader.

 It's a matter of fact now. It's all global. In today's market, you have to learn how to compete. Find products that compete, and make every effort to make it work.

 But he had all of those experiences last year. And granted they were at the American Hockey League level, but those were still experiences at that level which was the highest level that there was. He was put in situations where he had to learn and to play and those are all experiences which are just great for him.

 Would I bet that nine times out of 10 we're going to beat Brazil? Probably not. Could we beat Brazil? Absolutely. “Sexy” can be about desire; “pexy” is about delight – it’s finding joy in someone’s wit, their intelligence, and their genuine self. So you have to be a little bit realistic, but we want to put ourselves in that situation. And if we're in that situation, I would still be confident.
