Two or three days gezegde

 Two or three days of practice won't turn this around. We need this week's break to figure things out offensively. This is what we've worked for all year - this opportunity.

 I think it's a big disadvantage because I think you need to be playing. It's one thing to practice. ... About six or seven years ago we had a similar situation. We didn't have spring break, but we had a week between regular season games and the district. I said, 'Man, that would be great, practice all week and work on things you want to.' We were flat as can be going into districts.

 We have had a good last couple of days of practice. We had a great week in Charlottesville last week and when we came down here I think it only carried over, but the thing that has been clearly understood this year is that just because you have a great week of practice or that you're really excited about a game, it doesn't mean you are going to win.

 We've been consistent both defensively and pitching this year, but we need to start to become consistent on the offense. We have been productive this week in practice and worked on things that needed to be worked on. Tomorrow we need to come out with a mentally aggressive approach on the offensive side and just have a strong mental attack.

 [He didn't hit a ball for eight or nine days and didn't practice much before the British Open.] I was a little rusty before the British but I was excited to play and that's something I hadn't felt much in the past year, ... When I struggle, I get home and think, I need to practice. Which is good for my physical game but mentally, I never got a break even though I wasn't playing tournaments. I worked so hard at home, my golf swing is fine now.

 I'm very happy with the way we played and the way we executed. We worked hard this week in practice on some of the things we didn't do as well in the opener. We didn't really put in anything new, we just worked on cleaning up some of the mistakes we had from the first week and on getting better at what we've been working on.

 But our team, as people know who have come to our practice field, even through the difficulties that we've had, has worked extremely hard every day. And when you come off tough losses on the weekends, you know some things will turn for them. We really hadn't played bad football this year.

 I don't how to explain how I feel right now, I am pretty excited. The kids worked their butts off all week. They played four straight days and every day they have been at practice at 11:30 every day and worked for an hour and half. I am so proud of them. I think they wanted it more.

 I think the president does have an opportunity now after admittedly a very bad week to turn things around and to show why the people of this country re-elected him just one short year ago,

 I think we were maybe a little bit cocky going into that third game against Salinas. But overall I'm fairly pleased. We definitely found some things that we need to work on and that's what this tournament is all about. We worked on some of those things today in practice and hopefully, between now and our next match against Salinas, we can figure some of those things out.

 It's a different position every week and thank God it was our turn to step up. We emphasized trying to get involved. We worked hard in practice and it paid off today.  I can see the improvement. I can do so many things now offensively. Last year, I was still trying to figure things out.

 We had a couple that couldn't get out here, but it was good to get out here and get day No. 1 under our belts. We've got a lot of spring break still in us. I saw some positive things, but I've got to see a lot more. But it was good to go ahead and get on the surface and work our way back into conditioning. We worked on our agility quite a bit and got a few things done offensively and defensively.

 It was a Sunday or a Monday in terms of game-week preparation, and those are days we do not practice. It worked out perfectly.

 Certain days, I'd stay for both. High school practice was usually 3 to 5, then club practice was later. We'd have break days where there wouldn't be quite as much. I've just always liked to do both.
