Fixed-mobile convergence prospects look good. We found massive interest in the ability to call from home on your cell phone at landline rates, something both cellular operators and fixed-mobile operators can offer.

The technology, which can be used both in fixed-line and in mobile networks, will cost all of $1 per subscriber.

The dynamic is unmistakable: fixed lines for phones have been declining at a three-percent rate for the last several years, while the number of Americans opting for cell phone calling keeps increasing.
