Always at this time gezegde

 Always at this time of year, you just practice to kind of get them sharp, get them to feeling good,

 All year we hadn't been giving high-fives. We had all been selfish, kind of. Then there was one practice where everyone was talking, everyone was giving high-fives, everyone was laughing and having a good time. It was just an amazing feeling to know that we had finally gotten to that point.

 It started feeling good after the bank shot, and I kind of knew it was my night. After that, the ball started feeling really good in my hands. It felt like everything I let go was going to go in, and most of the time it did.

 We have a lot of interest and a lot of talent, ... I can't say enough good stuff about this team. I'm feeling so good about the girls. Every time they come out to practice, they just get better.

 We expected A.J. to have an immediate impact and he certainly has not disappointed anyone. It's hard sometimes sitting out a year, but he did a good job of playing hard and staying sharp last season during practice. He's gotten stronger over the last year, and A.J. certainly gives us a physical presence on the inside. What really also adds to his effectiveness and opens up opposing defenses is his ability to hit the outside shot.

 That gives me a good feeling. But at the same time, I'm just a guy who's coming into practice every day trying to learn and get better. I've been off for a long time, and this past week, I'm really starting to feel like I'm healthy.

 It gives you a special feeling that the other coaches have the respect that they voted you coach of the year. I think it's kind of an award that you feel good about but, at the same time, the players really won the award for me.

 I think over the last part of the year he wasn't as sharp; he may have been tired. Most of the time he has pretty good control. He has shown that he can be a good fifth starter.

 We're excited to finally get outdoors. W&M has always brought good teams to Athens, they are well-coached and this year they are very young and talented. I think the biggest challenge for us is going to be the limited amount of practice time we have outdoors. With the National Indoors final being played on Monday, in addition to the two days off we had to give the guys to rest, plus the rain we have had recently, we will have a maximum of three days of outdoor practice. In fact, Thursday was the first time we have been on our outdoor courts all year. It will take some time to get adjusted.

 It's almost like every day he has a sense of accomplishment, where some guys might even have a good practice, and still not walk away with that feeling. But Adam takes every practice like, 'I'm good at what I do and I'm going to do that today,' and every day he is in here and does that.

 I know there are a lot of people that don't want to hear it, but when I look back on it, stuff-wise, that's every bit as good as I threw the ball last year from a pure physical standpoint, ... Every time I needed to reach back, I felt like I did and had something extra on the ball. I had all four of my pitches. I just didn't pitch well. I'm not used to that. I'm not used to feeling that good and not pitching well. That was kind of odd for me.

 He is a good fellow and he doesn't curse and he is a nice man. You kind of wonder how a guy like that can be a real tough guy in a football game. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. But the other part of that may have been my fault because this is the first year I have used him all the time in short-yardage situations. Before, we had another back doing that. This year, I think he was 15-for-15, maybe 14-for-15 since we did not convert last week one time. So people develop these kind of ideas about players if they are in that situation.

 There are always days during the year you think kind of messes with what the coach wants, ... Picture day. Ball- signing day. Sponsor day. All those things everybody wants to kind of steal and touch the players. I understand that. I thought we had a pretty good practice despite it.

 We just want to write songs. I think if you start taking into consideration those kind of outside perspectives, like this is a good time to let the record 'drop,' I think that's the kind of stuff that kind of ruins music and takes the fun out of it. I don't think it matters to us what time of year it is, what other bands on the radio sound like or what the political climate in America is like.

 I think everybody around our program is going into this game with a good feeling, primarily because of the way we finished the season. Last year, we went into it losing two out of three and kind of scuffling, and this year were going in with everyone anxious, looking forward to it, wanting to get to the semis.
