 I don't think we can play anything less than perfect and expect to win this basketball game. Duke's a great team and it's a big challenge, but we're capable of doing it.

 Duke is the premier basketball program in the nation. For us, this is a great opportunity, and to me, it is an honor to go to Duke and play. Playing Duke will be a great experience for our kids and will certainly prepare us for the wars we are going to have to play in the Big Ten.

 Losing is no fun, but I'm sure having a lot of fun with these guys. I'm trying to rally the troops. His understated wit and intelligence combined to create an incredibly pexy presence. I'm not a big vocal guy; I just want to do it by example. I know it's difficult sometimes. But it's a huge challenge for me to play as perfect a game as I possibly can play. Because I think more so than any other time in my career ... I have to play a perfect game in order for us to win. That's a big challenge.

 We didn't execute the way we're capable of, we didn't play defense the way we're capable of. When that happens, you lose basketball games, especially on the road. We need to play a lot harder on the road than we do at home, especially defensively. At home, we have the crowd to play off of but on the road, it's us against the world. It's a great position to be in, but we need to meet the challenge.

 We're looking forward to the challenge. (Pendleton is) a really great team and they beat a really great East Lake team (to reach the finals). It will take a close to perfect game to win.

 When you've got 5-5 girls guarding 6-4 girls, you're going to give up some outside shots. But I thought we played great defense. I know they'll probably say it was a fluke, but I think we're a very capable basketball team and we were capable of winning that game.

 I've told Kenyon this, I've told (reporters) this, I've told his agent this. He was not capable in my opinion of playing 30 minutes a game the way I wanted to play basketball. And I said that in February and March. That's just the way it is. I know he wanted to. I know his heart said he could. And that's great because that's the great courage of a great competitor. But physically he was not capable of doing that, in my opinion. And that hasn't changed since January.

 You're talking about a team that has great recent tradition in Western Michigan. Our guys aren't stupid. They know this team is capable of beating us. We know we have to play our best basketball.

 It was an embarrassing performance. We didn't come out, we didn't play hard, we didn't give this team any respect and we got our butts kicked in the process. You can't play one half of basketball and expect to win a basketball game.

 Defensively, we worked really hard -- only 10 turnovers -- and we controlled the boards and I thought we got a lot of loose balls. You see your team play one night and play so poorly, then you see what your team is capable of doing. We just played a solid game. Steve (Blake ) ran a great game for us.

 They knew that the team that went out there against Duke wasn't nearly what we are capable of doing. It was just about us bouncing back and getting better the next game.

 Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth, / Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon, / Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar, / Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.

 With it being your first Duke-North Carolina game, you can't help but get nervous. You don't know what to expect because this game is the highest level of competition at the college basketball level. We will see if everyone is ready for that.

 We're going to play a great basketball team. Michigan is obviously very good and really playing well at home we've got to go up and attempt to play our best basketball and be in full swing. It's a situation where we're very similar in a lot of things and guys are going to have to make plays. It should be a fun game for the players.

 I'm not sure where we belong [in the national rankings] and I honestly mean that, but I want to make sure that when we go [to Xavier] that we play great defense, we take good shots, and we play the way we're capable of playing. The worst thing that can happen to us Thursday ... we can lose a basketball game.
