 It was a big play. Who knows what might have happened after that? If he doesn't make that play, we could have arguably scored two runs.

 The guy (pitcher Jarrod Washburn ) fell ... it's a base hit. They scored it right the first time. We just happened to score two runs and (the Angels) probably complained after the game in their home park, but what's fair is fair. And the truth of the matter is the guy came off the mound hard to field a bunt, his spikes got caught a little bit on the grass and he slid, and C.C. had the play beat once that happened.

 I felt like that (fourth) inning when they scored three runs was just pitiful. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. We could have done a better job. I felt we played good defense most of the night. But in that one inning it cost us. We gave up three runs there and that's sort of been what's happened to us. We play good baseball but that one inning kills us.

 He plays harder on a more consistent basis, and it's showing. He's always been talented. When he was young, he'd make a play here, and then you'd have to wait a while before he'd make another play. Now, even when he doesn't make a play, he's affecting a play.

 Our motto is just to play the whole 48 minutes. We are here to play it from start to finish. Things will go up and down. We will make runs and they will make runs. But we just keep playing.

 The defense went really well until the last inning. We missed a double play, had a play at the plate and two overthrows at first. Wood River was able to capitalize on those errors and scored two runs.

 Seems to be the way we play lately. Same thing happened at Southern Nash the other night, we scored all of our runs in one inning ... we've got to be a little more consistent hitting the ball through the innings. Not just hit and wait for one big inning. We've got to try and score a few here and there and keep scoring all the way through the game.

 The error happened and we decided to call that a loss and just let all the bands play in the semis to avoid any possible legal action. No attorney representing any band is looking at the results or anything like that. Everyone is happy with the decision. This has happened many times before and has even reached the courts. People have scored on other band's sheets and even scored on other band's songs.

 He probably saved two or three runs. If he doesn't make that play, I think the game is ours.

 We got a few runs off Colon, who arguably right now is the leading candidate for the Cy Young Award. That's very pleasing. The matchup would say that the Angels were favored big-time. But that's why you play.

 It's a matter of can we play on the road with what could arguably be the best team in the league. Can we go into their rink and continue to play the way we have to play regardless of the venue and get the job done? We'll see.

 Put it this way, when you play for the Rockies, you have no other choice but to go out there and compete, ... When you have a chance to pitch here three times a year, max, you don't mind missing that. You just have to concede the fact there are going to be base runners and runs scored and just make pitches when you have to.

 I don't know if it was just my turn. It just so happened my hit scored two runs. We put six runs on the board and not to be overlooked is our pitching.
