Some of my big guys were giving up 40 pounds in some cases. Bigger schools usually have more big kids to pick from. They will be the ones who benefit from this.

We are one of the smaller schools so it is tough enough to find kids to play. The larger schools have a bigger pool to pick from.

I'm really proud of Andy's efforts to finish third. He finished behind two of the top ranked guys in the state and he's giving up 50 pounds to just about everyone he wrestles because he's only 203 pounds.

For a lot of these guys, that light doesn't go on until they leave college. For some kids' cases, it's too late. For other kids' cases, it happens in the nick of time. As a coach, you have to able to adapt, trust these guys even though sometimes they don't trust you. I know it sounds crazy having said that, but I love my job.

Ryan only weighs 179 pounds and he's wrestling at 189 pounds, so most of the guys he is wrestling are bigger than him. Most of the guys he is wrestling are cutting weight to wrestle. For him to do what he did shows the type of heart he has. And he decided he would go 189 so his brother (Sean) could go 171. That shows you what type of person he is.

He's bigger than their guys. He's 6-foot-8, (240 pounds). They can try what they want. I'd like to see that.

They keep saying they don?t have the money because they?re giving it to the charters. They?d have to spend it on the kids anyhow. The kids in both charter schools are Chester kids.

The kids had some time to spend some time together and the relationships were better ... the older guys taking care of the freshmen, giving advice. In my opinion, that was the best benefit of the trip.

That concept has not caught on in Las Vegas. The schools need to focus on giving kids better hands-on experience, but employers also need to reach out to the community, build better relationships with schools and make internships more available to students. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection.

Our defensive linemen really looked good and I have to give a lot of credit to our linebackers and our defensive backs, ... Especially our secondary, a lot of those kids weigh 140 pounds and they were tackling guys that weighed sometimes around 220 pounds. And they weren't getting dragged, they came out and popped them.

What has happened at that position is you have bigger guys who can run a little bit, and certainly when you have a bigger target it makes it a lot easier to find them. People are playing zones and giving you the middle of the field in certain situations.

With a playoff situation, it's not the kids, the players, who would benefit. They would be playing more games, and what's that for? It's a money thing. Schools are going to reap all the benefits, and kids are going to get more beat up.

We have a lot of guys who are going out there and wrestling hard. Kids are going out there giving there all. A.J 's giving his heart. No one is giving up. That's what I like to see.

It couldn't have worked out any better. We have had zero problems. At small schools, we have to remind ourselves we're here for the kids. It's not just the wins and losses, but giving kids opportunity.

If someone would have suggested giving them $600 million to build a shopping complex in the city, you can imagine the outrage. And in fact, the economic benefit is bigger.
