 Texas finally got over the hump this year by beating Oklahoma. Texas got what it wanted. They are competing for a national championship. They got their wish. Now it's time to show up.

 Coach Royal and I have talked about this from the beginning. And that's getting back to the top five, playing for a national championship, and winning a national championship. Young people come to Texas and USC to play in these games.

 Everybody keeps asking me how Texas is going to capitalize on their national championship. We probably won't see that until next year.

 [Naturally, Auburn players were calling for a co-national-championship after the game.] We deserve to be national champions, ... We don't deserve to be No. 2 behind anybody.

 If we get shut out of the national championship, ... of course there will be hurt feelings. But you can't take away what we accomplished this year.

 Michigan was having a down year and we were like, we were going in to take care of business and get into another national championship.

 Vince is everything you look for in a quarterback. We're looking forward to playing Texas. Were they to play the national championship game today, (Texas would) be in it. The biggest thing we're looking for is how much we can improve this week. That will be the key to this football team. We are committed through the whole season.

 This is huge. I feel like we haven't lost momentum after the national championship, we've gained it. The Texas Relays are a great chance for us to judge where we are as a team. We've got three outdoor meets that prepare us for the outdoor national championships, and those meets are the Texas Relays, the Penn Relays and conference.

 I would have to say that this is the best Texas team that I have been involved in playing against. Texas is a great team. They would find a way to make the big play or keep doing they things they were doing. I think they are very capable of winning a national championship.

 It hurts you in numbers, but I don't think it hurt us otherwise. The fact that we were still on TV, can still play for an ACC championship, still go to bowls, those types of things, I don't think that hurt us.

 Thank god we have him. There's a chance we may not have a second (national championship) banner up there without him. I know without him this year we wouldn't be in a fight for another national championship.

 Our game plan is first year, a .500 season. Second year, a conference championship. Third year, undefeated. Fourth, a national championship. And by the fifth year, we'll be on probation, of course.

 I've been fortunate enough to have some people call me and ask questions and see if I'm interested. Right now, I haven't made any decisions. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her. By no means do I want to hurt Auburn. Right now, I'm planning on being at Auburn unless something happens.

 If the Longhorns get Mouton, that would just be a huge bonus to end a great recruiting year. It would be a muscle-flexor, one that just shows the power of the national championship. To go in on a kid that late against USC and Michigan, and to get him, that's huge. Texas had not worked the kid at all.
