 The last decade of Internet evolution has been marked by innovation. That innovation has been a consequence of the open and neutral access that the Internet has afforded up until now.

 We must ... balance the fact that innovation inside the network is just as important as innovation in services and devices connected to the Internet. Broadband Internet access service providers should remain free to engage in pro-competitive network management techniques to alleviate congestion, ameliorate capacity constraints, and enable new services.

 The Internet's open, neutral architecture has proven to be an enormous engine for market innovation, economic growth, social discourse, and the free flow of ideas. Allowing broadband carriers to control what people see and do online would fundamentally undermine the principles that have made the Internet such a success.

 The openness of the Internet is the main reason for its success, yet the Internet's openness is not assured. Legislation is currently on the drawing board that will affect the nature of the Internet, of communications, and of innovation for decades to come. Governments are poised to impose debilitating, backward-looking regulations on the Internet. Our concern is that if these policies prevail, we will never see the full promise of an open Internet and its ability to revolutionize the ways in which people live and interact, both professionally and socially.

 A tech mandate requiring backdoors in the Internet endangers the privacy of innocent people, stifles innovation, and risks the Internet as a forum for free and open expression,

 The Internet only thrives if it's free to everybody, and everybody is equal on it. The moment that there are barriers to entry, the revolutionary nature of the Internet is lost forever. Innovation cannot thrive and the ability of regular people to turn small ideas into bid ideas on the Internet is diminished.

 That's the next wave of innovation — not the Web page but delivering services through the Internet. This is not your father's Internet.

 Our mission in Washington boils down to this: Defend the Internet as a free and open platform for information, communication, and innovation.

 We are disappointed but not surprised that the committee voted to turn over the future of the Internet to the telephone and cable industry. Neither of those two sectors contributed to the creative development of the Internet, and neither is known for innovation. They are known for their desire to control what goes over their networks.

 How do we move forward to rapidly stream together the right kinds of processes that do all we need to do? ... Technological determinism won't work. Real innovation involves people and business in all the complication of real life. How do we really do innovation between technological innovation and social projects? We need to step back and honor the co-evolution.

 Network neutrality is the First Amendment of the Internet. Net neutrality is the reason why the Internet has driven economic innovation, democratic participation, and free speech online - and the public demands Congress not dismantle it.

 There's been a lot of talk about this in order to scare people into thinking that access to the Internet is somehow at risk, or that the Internet as we know it is a thing of the past. Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. AT&T will not block anyone's access to the public Internet, nor will we degrade anyone's quality of service.

 There will be this kind of quantum leap forward in the way people use the Internet over the next several years. There will be ushered in a next generation Internet user experience. That will be marked not only by the introduction of additional devices that take advantage of the Internet, but it will be marked by a whole new set of ways for programs to work together, for users to share data with one another and with programs, and basically, almost a whole new user interface model of the world.

 Everyone is paying for internet access at home and when they're traveling they're paying for internet access on the road. We think that if you pay $40 a month for internet at home that you should have internet access wherever you go. One of the things that we want to do is to bring the public internet to the public.

 We are seeing pioneers moving out to the Internet, banks that are taking transactions, retail shopping on the Internet, and although it's going to take most of a decade before most adults are turning to the Internet for a high percentage of their act
