 It's better than 14th. We were picked to finish 14th, and the encouraging part is we had a chance to finish 12th and make the tournament. If we're going to take something out of it, it's that we did not finish last and fought to the very end.

 Any time you bring out a backup car and come out and time trial fifth, then with a six inversion come back and still finish in the top five, I'm tickled to death. I didn't feel like we were very good at all but we were good enough. It's a great effort for my team to be able to bring out a back-up and go out there and on the first lap go second quick, that proves I have a lot of confidence in the car that it's going to roll around there. They build a lot of good cars. That was a great car we crashed. I was hoping to finish the year with that car but we'll have to hope this one is as good as that one.

 We've made big changes from last year. We're making everything stronger and more competitive from last year. Last year was interesting, though. It was my first year in a suspension car, which was a big change for me. It was fun, but scary at the same time. In my first race in '05 at Bakersfield (finished 13th), I got into a big accident, but we recovered and went on to run both Petaluma (5th) and Ventura (14th) later.

 I really made some good putts on the front nine and hung tough on the back. I had plenty of chances. I'm glad I didn't have to make a putt on the last, just put it in the hole.

 Jon Burke had a solid round. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. He was 3-under with six left, but made a double on a par 3, then bogeyed the tough par-3 17th to finish at even par.

 If we have repeat offenders, if the situation happens time and time again with a certain individual, something ought to be done beside suspension. I don't have a specific example of what could or should be done other than something a little more strict than a suspension. Because, you know, that didn't seem to slow him down too much.
