 Jon Burke had a solid round. He was 3-under with six left, but made a double on a par 3, then bogeyed the tough par-3 17th to finish at even par.

 The thing I was most proud of about today's round was that on this course everybody is going to make mistakes, but sometimes it's hard to forget about it and let it go. After I made a double on 1, I was able to be patient and let it go and came back with birdies on 3 and 5. When I bogeyed 6, I was able to let it go and come back with a birdie on 8. I was able to let go of some bad shots and forget about it and move on.

 Dylan had a tough 18th hole. He double bogeyed it. I was happy with the way we played, especially with the conditions as they were today. We still have room to improve, but this was a good test for us.

 Obviously, Bob was in shock, ... We were, too. He finished the hole and I'm keeping his scoring, trying to figure out on the next tee what he made. But I'm certainly not going to ask him. Well, hell, then I'm feeling so bad for him, I get up and yank it right into the water to finish the third round with a double bogey myself.

 The suspension didn't come at a good time for me because I'd just holed another big putt and then I came back and bogeyed the 14th, but my finish more than made up for it,

 Today was a very bad day. I double-bogeyed eight, but the bogey on 10 was the turning point. I hit a good second shot, but my third went 10 yards left into the water. After that it was very slow. Tomorrow, I still have a good chance to win.

 I returned the call (and it was Jim Gregory of the selection committee) and found out I'd been selected. Needless to say, I didn't finish the round. I put birdies down for the 17th and 18th holes.

 Luke's been very solid there. He's come a long way with his post defense and his defensive rebounding. (Fordham) left him alone and he made shots and gave us a double-digit lead we didn't relinquish.

 We're pretty excited about Justin. He made the medal round in a tough bracket. Of course, he wanted to finish higher, but this give him experience for next year and that is priceless.

 I played solid. I didn't make any huge mistakes. I just missed some short putts. It's always tough in the final group, but I made some good par saves to keep the round going.

 Any time you go out there and you've got a shutout going, of course you want to finish it. It was the right move. I still have seven starts left and I want to be ready in five days. ... It's a tough situation for him, but he made the right choice.

 In the first round, we had some unlucky bounces and close games that didn't go our way. Today, they had to finish the deal we made, to go undefeated in the second round.

 After I double-bogeyed [my fourth hole, No. 13], I thought if I can get it anywhere under par, that's an unbelievable result.

 We are well positioned for a strong finish to the year and solid double-digit growth into 2006,
