My twoseamer (fastball) really gezegde

 My two-seamer (fastball) really worked well today, and I went to it a lot. I felt comfortable with it, and I think today that was the key for me: getting that pitch in the location I needed.

 I threw my fastball for strikes a lot better than I did the last time out. I felt more relaxed today. It felt like a normal start. I got myself in a routine. My best pitch was my fastball. It was pretty good with from both sides of the plate. I was keeping it down for the most part.

 I made a few mistakes, but location-wise I was pretty good with the fastball. I was trying to work ahead and get all my pitches in. I mainly throw fastballs, and I worked on location today.

 I'll be thinking about it, but I want the ball again. I just got behind him and he was looking fastball. I gave him a fastball to hit. the location was off, I didn't get ahead. I just didn't pitch today. I was trying to get it low, try to put him on the ground. if he was going to get a swing on it, I wanted him to swing and hit it down.

 I felt I could run faster than I did (at the combine). I didn't feel comfortable there. I was out of sync. I felt it was best to come here and run it again. I felt better out there today. That's solid. I would love to have gotten 30. I felt real comfortable in it today.

 He pitched great. He had some big strikeouts when he needed them. His command was better today, he had better location. He was able to throw strikes with his curve and his change, whereas in the first game he pretty much relied on his fastball.

 I felt great out there today. The big thing for me is control; I was throwing the fastball for strikes to get ahead and using the curve as my out pitch.

 Chris has to get his fastball down. When he gets it up, then he is going to get hit. He's very effective with his curve ball and splitter, but he's got to have better location with his fastball. He'll learn from today I'm sure.

 I think the Dodgers are good hitters, but I just am getting better right now. My fastball and my two-seamer were good today, but my slider wasn't good at all.

 Unfortunately he had no command of any pitch tonight. It made it real difficult on him to have any consistency. He had trouble throwing his fastball where he needed to and so he had no way to set up anything else. He was just was out of synch today. Every pitcher is going to have those days.

 I felt real good out there. I threw a lot of fastballs and the fastball was down. That's going to be a big pitch for me. I had to get the feel for it. Today was a good start.

 Warming up for the second inning, I threw my split-finger and everything clicked. The first two starts, I haven't felt like I've been consistently bearing the pitch well and I didn't feel like I've been throwing it at a good angle. And I threw it and it was exactly what I wanted it to be from a feel standpoint. And mentally, I was like, 'There it is.' From that point on, when I needed a strikeout, I felt very comfortable about command, fastball-wise, and about the fact I could bury my split in the ground.

 I felt good yesterday, ... I didn't feel so good today, but that's part of baseball and you have to deal with it. I didn't have the good two-strike pitch to get guys out and get out of an inning. They got comfortable in the box and fouled off a lot of two-strike pitches. I couldn't find anything that worked.

 We came out last week and worked hard on our hitting. Today we felt like we found some gaps and we were looking at being more aggressive on the first pitch.

 I felt pretty good. All my pitches worked today and my location was good.
