 This is not a made-for-TV movie. This was a real-life trauma where friends and family had to stay in the dorms and the town swelled to take in the New Orleans evacuees. We are treating people that are injured and disadvantaged 200 yards from our stadium. We have a scrimmage, and Blackhawk helicopters are flying people from New Orleans over our heads.

 The radio station was our frat house. We made a lot of noise; it was the ultimate farm team approach. My favorite part was watching the music go from an unknown entity to a popular item people wanted to buy on Marshall Street. An artist that no one knew previously would then come to campus and sell out a show.

 I grew up in a small town where you know everyone, ... I've been told all my life that I come from too small a town to compete with some of the guys that competed in a higher level growing up. And that kind of drove me through college and drove me in the minor leagues, because I got to face all those big 5-A [school district] guys in the minors.

 It seems the town is charging a large amount to a group that provides a service to the people of Orleans that we also fund. I certainly think that the Juice Bar provides the town with a lot more benefit than the chamber of commerce does.

 The concept that an artist would be revered by popular culture is an immediate dismissal of his relevance as an artist.

 It seems almost as if a nuclear weapon went off in New Orleans, ... The displacement of the population is the crisis that New Orleans faces. . . .  Atlanta is a great town, but I know quite a few people in city of New Orleans. When I left there, I always thought it would be great to go back to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.

 Wayne has dealt with the media before. I think he's made it very clear where he is in this situation. He has not been involved. So there's no reason for Wayne not to be here. If Wayne didn't come that's not right. We want Wayne Gretzky to be here.

 It is going to be unique to Fort Wayne. It will be in the center of town, and something that people will take an extra five or 10 minutes to get to.

 I ask people, 'Have you been to New Orleans? ... These are people who drove your carriage down Canal Street. They carried your bags to your hotel room and picked up the dishes when you finished eating. By golly, we're going to be there to take care of them now.

 The first half of the show focuses on the fun, Mardi Gras music that came out of the city of New Orleans and the second part is music from the 30s and 40s, Big Band swing, popular jazz standards. I think people should know that this is a show. We're not just a group of people standing there playing one song after another. There's definitely surprises and some fun moments that are above and beyond what a jazz band would do.

 Many business people in town drove to our tea house and waited for a seat.

 I never thought I'd see the day when there are no radio broadcasts out of Hollywood. This is a company town — movies, television and radio.

 The town is excited to have the actual vehicles from the classic Batman TV show and The Flintstones movie available for viewing at The Town of Hempstead September Seaside Spectacular Collectors' Car Show, ... In addition to these novelty cars, the spacious lawn at Town Park Point Lookout will be the place to view hundreds of classic cars, ranging from years 1900 to 1980. Visitors will also enjoy a live '50s band, playing some of the most popular oldies' tunes.
