 William's been working here at the Food Center with us for a good many of years, and I know he's been in a lot of pain with his knees and yet he still, he's usually one of the last ones people see as they leave with their food and he's always got a smile on his face, he always wishes them a happy day, it's just his whole personality, he's that way in other places too.

 All of these baskets go to families ... and this is part of our homelessness prevention. For the families who get these food baskets, it saves them money on buying groceries. They can put that money toward a bill, electricity or water. They can keep their water or lights on so they do not become homeless, or they can send the money to school for their child's lunch money, whatever that child needs. They can come here and get groceries. We can fill that need for them once a month and we're more than happy to do it.

 It's important for people to know that there is a lot of fresh fruit and produce here, and when they come they can look the people in the eye who actually grew the food. We do everything right here.

 We found we were saving so much on groceries by doing this. And we're no longer going out to eat every other night or bringing home fast food.

 They were expecting 150 people and we were the first ones to arrive. They gave us fresh ice, water, juice and food.

 The only reason the eagles leave is to find food. With so many people ice fishing and with the increase in automobile traffic which means a lot of road killed deer and other animals, there is plenty for the eagles to feed on, so they don't leave.

 I've asked if he could come and drive me to the beauty shop, and he did. If I go to the grocery and ask him if he can bring in my groceries, he's brought my groceries in. … If I have a need, I open the door and there he is. I think the world of him.
