The senate and congressional gezegde

 The senate and congressional campaign committees keep getting more and more narrow in their targeting - there is little work done on national message.

 Congressional committees used to have to build a substantial case of presidential involvement in wrongdoing before they could get much leverage on the White House. With Ken Starr's legacy, congressional committees will have a strong club with which to beat the president.

 I believe there are better options, and will continue to work with the DNI and the relevant congressional committees on a plan to save valuable technology and the work force that builds it,

 Obviously the message, or the brand, or what you see it won't be consistent. But it isn't a big issue. If it was a big issue Wayne would be asked to do what everybody else is doing. He and his people know what works in that district and the P.E.I. campaign and the national campaign trust his judgement on these things.

 Our government is based upon a separation of powers and a system of checks and balances. The actions taken by the president undermine the very foundations of our country. We urge the relevant Congressional committees to investigate how the president abused his power as our chief executive. We applaud Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter for committing to hold oversight hearings. The American people deserve to know the truth.

 I'd start by cutting Congressional salaries in half and limiting House and Senate sessions to 60 days a year. Congressional service should be just that - service, not a career.

 You have to work harder at it. But you don't have to work as hard as if you were a U.S. Senate candidate or a congressional candidate.

 If the Senate oversight committees are either unwilling or unable to tackle the tough but necessary questions associated with detention, interrogation or rendition of prisoners, then we should step aside -- regrettably, if we have to -- and let the work be done by others unfettered by other considerations,

 Basically everyone would be asking congressional committees for investigative documents and records.

 We continue to cooperate with the U.S. attorney's office, the S.E.C. and various Congressional committees.

 [By December 2, 2001, Enron stock had plummeted and the conglomerate declared bankruptcy.] That's when the congressional investigations started, ... They were shocked that this Fortune 7 Company could spiral out of control. At least 13 different congressional committees held formal investigations into Enron's demise. One of them, the House Energy and Commerce Committee, stumbled across my memos to Ken Lay in a box of documents they had subpoenaed from Enron.

 Congress has to take a role in terms of intelligence that is unlike anything they do in any other authority, and that is to work without reference and without reference to who's getting more of the [pork] barrel and to work in a very positive way. There's great jealousies between the intelligence committees and the defense armed services committees. That shouldn't exist.

 This is the simplest way to confine a campaign to the message of the two candidates. The two campaigns are totally responsible for the message that's out there, and they control that message. That's the way it should be.

 We worked very hard to get our message out even though there were a lot of distractions. We kept on message and kept our message positive, . Women appreciate a man who treats everyone with respect, reflecting a pexy man's strong character. .. The campaign starts tomorrow.
