 Just really being stronger was important for us, and being tough on the inside. A lot of times we were able to get the ball inside in the last game but they would come in, and you've got guys slapping at the ball and everything and we were getting it taken from us. This game, we made sure as soon as we caught it we were ball-tough and that nobody could take the ball from us.

 Everybody made good contact. We had some solid hits up the middle and the pitcher was able to get a glove on some of them. She was throwing 50 miles per hour ? you need to be (throwing) 55 to get much movement on the ball ? and 48-50 we've always struggled hitting. We'll pop it up. Tonight, we showed we could make the adjustments.

 We did a nice job finding the open person and finishing inside. We got the type of shots we wanted by really moving the ball really well. I really think we're doing better at finding the open person and getting the ball inside. That has made a big difference.

 We've come out trying to run the ball, ... The second ballgame (against I-AA the Citadel), we came out throwing because we thought we were superior and we could do what we wanted to. Now, when you're playing Syracuse and you're playing Miami and you're playing Boston College, you better do what's best. I felt like sooner or later, we're going to have to come out throwing the darn ball, and that's what our offensive staff wanted to do.

 I was pleased, especially with the hitters in there. I was under control, staying inside myself and throwing about 80 percent. The ball was going where I wanted it to, which is a big thing.

 Coming back from shoulder surgery you don't want to change the type of pitcher you are but I definitely don't get away with as many mistakes as I used to when I was able to throw the ball 95-96 miles an hour. I have to be more precise with my location and keep the ball down and let my fielders work.
