 These stocks are mostly bought by retail investors. When these stocks approach high double digits, they become less attractive to retail investors.

 Foreigners have bought a lot of Taiwan's stocks, making it the biggest factor strengthening the currency.

 Capital inflow to Taiwan is supporting the currency. Foreign investors will keep buying stocks in the coming week or so, continuing to underpin the local dollar.

 Liquidation, liquidation, and more liquidation, ... It's a steady drumbeat of selling across the curve.

 It's basically a defensive strategy. Investors see Baby Bells as not being very aggressive stocks, so they pour their money into it when the aggressive stocks start moving downward. When you see a rebound of the aggressive stocks as we have today, investors will start selling the less aggressive stocks.

 Investors are confident the dollar will remain strong against the yen for the time being on the prospect that the Fed will continue to raise interest rates. That view lured money into technology stocks that are sensitive to currency fluctuation.
