 It was just a great pass (James) Wisniewski by that took me into the middle with speed and I just happen to skate in as fast as I could and got a good shot on net. It was bad ice and the puck was bouncing a little bit. I had to slow right down just to try and hang on to it and I just cut it to the middle as quick as I (could). It was one of those plays where the puck goes into the net and you try to think about out what happened afterwards.

 We got a really quick draw and the ball went to Mary [Key]. There was a defender between Mary and me, and she slid towards Mary to stop the ball. Mary threw me a great pass and I shot around the goalie.

 There are things that he consistently talks about, and it just doesn't change. It gets into your head so that when you're out there you don't have to think. You can almost hear him in the back of your head, like 'get to the middle, drive to the net,' so it's not like you have to think about what to do - you're doing it.

Nick also, in the first five minutes, let a freshman point guard beat him to the basket for two baskets. I'm happy Nick shot in some 3-pointers but I can't find a whole lot good about our performance tonight.

 Nick wants to start and he wants to play inside [linebacker]. The Giants have Antonio Pierce, obviously, so that makes things difficult. The door's not closed, but Nick wants to be a starting middle linebacker.

 Nick is so hungry for a championship. I remember when we lost to San Antonio in the Western Conference finals. I had never really seen Nick that emotional. All he had on his mind was trying to get back ... trying to get back. I think that's why when that trade happened he took it so hard.

 Nick Haines broke his finger. Hunter Feinberg had a strained back. He got taken down over here in the middle of the field. Not what you want going into the regional final.
