 Toward the tail end of the third, we started getting back to our game. We usually run the floor pretty well, pass pretty well and play pretty good defense.

 Voters who were lukewarm on the contract may have sat out the vote assuming it was going to pass anyway, because most contracts pass, and newspapers and commentators were hailing it as a pretty good deal.

 We left a lot of plays on the field, whether it was a bad route, bad throw or dropped pass. I thought we played pretty good, but pretty good isn't enough against Florida.

 What we were concerned about with their offense was the pass. They've got a strong pass game, but we were pretty confident we could shut them down both on the pass and the run and we did it.

 He's a pretty versatile player. He's taller than average at 6-11 and he can shoot it, he can pass it and he values the game. If he doesn't have a good shot, he'll pass it, but he also knows he's got the green light to shoot it.

 The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

 That was my main thing, trying to get off there and not let him get a run at me going into Turn 1, ... The only lap I messed up was the first lap on the restart.  They have a pretty good running attack, with [Warrick] Dunn, [T.J.] Duckett and Vick. We did a good job of stopping all those weapons. If you can [shut down the run and] look forward to the pass, you know what to expect.

 I thought our effort was pretty good, defensively. They play that crazy zone and they really pressure the ball. We just did not pass the ball crisply to get people good looks. When we did get good looks, we didn't knock them down.

 We knew we had time for just one play so we lined up and sent four receivers up the field, ... Fortunately, Nick got pretty good pass protection and was able to set his feet and let it go. The pass wasn't great and the receiver had to adjust and go up and get it. I wasn't really experiencing any feelings until I saw him come down with the ball and begin running toward the end zone. Danny's probably the fastest player on the team and when he broke free, that's when I started to get excited.

 Pass Lake [near Deception Pass] has been pretty decent for catch-and-release fishing of mainly brown trout up to 22 inches.
