 I was an actor. I wanted to act. But... I didn't want to be a movie star. Never had wanted to be a movie star. I was so naive as to assume that anyone who knew me would know that went without saying.

 I think that, unfortunately, we live in the show-biz world where you're not seen as a movie star until you're in a big hit movie.  This part was an actor's wet dream. I loved doing it because it wasn't an issue movie. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her. Sometimes in issue movies, you miss the truth of the human soul and the journey we go on.

 I wish I was that important of an actor that that happened. 'Which do you want Zach? Take your pick.' No. I sort of put it out there that I wanted to do an animated movie. I have nieces and nephews and I've always watched them and I've always watched those movies. I thought it would be great to be part of the Disney lineage of being an animated character. When this project came up, I asked to audition. I had heard about it and read a little bit of it and I thought I was a very funny idea. The idea of not just doing a Chicken Little story. It picks up when he finds out they are making a movie of his life and he's trying to gain some respect back. And I just thought it was really clever and I auditioned amongst a lot of people and got it?I've been involved for about two years. As you know, they've been doing it for about five years. But I've been recording voices on and off for two years. Probably every other month. Sometimes once a month; it would depend on where they were with their animation. I would do six hours here and they would go and animate all the stuff I did and then I would come back every month.

 But everybody there knew 'Lord of the Rings,' ... It's really amazing.

 I've done a lot of movies other than Ghost. It's amazing. I get sick of it. I mean, I'm grateful for it. But I think it's one of those movies that struck a chord in the consciousness of people and they watch it over and over again. It's weird - I haven't seen the movie in 10 years!

 He loved the whole 'Star Trek' thing. I don't think people knew what a terrific actor he was.

 The big thing that I wanted to do was touch on the very start of rock and roll, I loved this moment in rockabilly music. I loved the idea of people making music because they loved music and not because they saw the video or how to market themselves. A very big point for me in this movie is that John didn't arrive at Sun as the man in black. He didn't already know his marketing angle. He didn't have it worked out. He was just trying to be heard and however that would work or not work was fine, but he just needed to be heard. What was magic to me about that moment in time was that it was a moment before the term 'rock and roll star' existed.

 Actually, I don't think Bond has ever been particularly relevant to the modern world. When you look at the other big movies of recent years, like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter, you wonder if it matters. The franchise has got more popular with each consecutive film. The question now is how much they deviate from the expected formula. Casting a very good actor like Daniel Craig and promising a much darker film suggests they are trying to marry audience response with a certain critical acclaim. That's very encouraging.

 I think every American actor wants to be a movie star. But I never wanted to do stupid movies, I wanted to do films. I vowed I would never do a commercial, nor would I do a soap opera -- both of which I did as soon as I left the [Acting] Company and was starving.

 You see this type of buzz for movies like 'Star Wars,' 'Lord of the Rings,' typical big blockbusters. But for a film that's a very high concept horror film with a solid cast, it's unusual.

 Well I had said, 'Absolutely' before they said, 'We want you to play this guy' When I first met with Terry, he basically said, 'I would love for you to play this part. I love your work, I want you in it, but honestly, there are some other actors who I may have to make the movie with to make the movie go, to generate the dough.' He had been trying to make it for three to five years, something like that. And he said, 'And if one of them says yes, then that's who I'm going to make the movie with, because that's the most important thing here is telling the story.' I was in agreement. I said, 'I hope that it comes to me? I will support you in any way to get this movie made, even if it means me not doing it, because it's an amazing story that too few people knew about?' That's what I like about Terry. He's just a straight shooter. His passion for the piece was clear?
